Need a gun smith; North Austin area

Post by fadlan12 »

Front sight on my SA .45 is loose. Bomar rear sights ,the front looks riveted (I did not see any allen slots in it) but is slightly loose. I bought it used several months ago and I have run 500 roubds through it, very smooth shooter. Maybe just needs a checkup.

McBrides on 2915 San Gabriel
(30th at North Lamar)
Austin, TX 78705

The Gun Store - 200 Buttercup Creek Blvd #114, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.

McBrides actually has a gun smith, but the guy at the gun store will probably be able to help you also.

I don't think The Gun Store in Cedar Park offers any gun smith services. Bu, I could be wrong. Can't go wrong with McBride's.

Dumb question but, ......(SA) Single action or Springfield Armory?

If Springfield then:(barely north)

Art Enterprises (dba of ATB, Inc.)
1702 Barbara Street
Austin, TX 78757 512-454-9328

He did some trigger work on my "Classic" HiPower years ago after McBrides about ruined it - Fantastic!

7GenTex : Springfield Armory 1911A1

I'm going to take it to Hank Flemming, Alan Tillman works there too. My front sight is double staked and tenable.

I have a S&W 642 DAO revolver that had a trigger pull that was so gritty and rough I couldn't hold the gun on target. Alan Tillman did a trigger job on it and now its as smooth as warm butter. I would not hesitate to use him again.
