I've had my CHL since they became legal and never a problem, yesterday a BG took my wallet literally from under my hand at the check-out in the Wal Mart in New Boston.
Now that the CHL is out of my hands I know I shouldn't carry, but, how and how long will this last and what steps do I need to take?
Wallet stolen, what do I have to do?

If you go to the address below, you can access the form you need (CR-70)
http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/forms/index.htm
Looks like there's a $25 fee for a duplicate licence.
Sorry about your wallet, that's a major pain. I'm sure you have already called the credit card company to block your cards.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. A lost/stolen wallet is a real hassle.
This is one incident where non-res CCW permits from other states come in handy. I keep my Utah non res permit in a safe deposit box so if my wallet is lost or stolen, I can get that non-res permit, which TX honors, and go about my business. while I wait for replacement credit cards, TDL and CHL.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
It also is a good backup photo ID to help you get all those others replaced.HighVelocity wrote: This is one incident where non-res CCW permits from other states come in handy. I use my passport as backup photo ID. Especially at the airport.llwatson wrote:It also is a good backup photo ID to help you get all those others replaced.HighVelocity wrote: This is one incident where non-res CCW permits from other states come in handy.
