Taking my son to see the monster trucks at Bell Co expo center and wonder if I can carry? I have for other events at the expo but seem to recall hearing the trucks were considered sporting since the drivers are "professional"
Thoughts?
Are Monster trucks considerered sporting event?

I think they are having motorcycle racing as well. If there is a Pro Class, that would take care of any question. I would like to know as well because I do not think of monster trucks as a sporting event. To me, they are an exhibition. The monster trucks are coming to Waco in Feb. I think it is a better show than in Belton. A few years ago, they put on a good show in Waco.

There are monster truck competitions that pay out money but not sure if this is one

For future reference, it was posted.
Funny note: I had to wait for my buddy who had the tickets so I stood just inside the door to the Expo, right next to the 6' tall rolling 06/07 signage display. I had a couple nice conversations about CC with other like minded people. And had a ball watching people come in and read the signs... 3 typical responses, in order of frequency:
1. "posted? Why the heck "
2. "What the heck does that mean?"
3. "who needs a gun at the monster truck rally?"

Re: Are Monster trucks considerered sporting event?
It may have been posted but its owned by the government. So unless monster trucks classify as a professional sporting event, the signs didn't mean anything.
Last spring I was at a high school graduation at the Expo Center and there were no signs but it was school event. Kind if odd they would roll the signs out for a sporting event but not a school event.
