Re: CHL and 'missing records'

He says he wasn't arrested. He was given a ticket and had to post bond within 7 days, then he went to court and had a 1 yr probation. He also says, with permission from the probation officer he was allowed to mail in his final 5 probation meetings, as he had to move back to Colorado Springs where h...

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.

Thanks :tiphat: Checking back on the forum after a period of inactivity, I'm glad to see that your spouse has survived her uterine cancer this long (my wife, Pamela, died just over 13 months after her diagnosis of uterine cancer - the chemo was so horrible for her, she didn't last long enough to ge...

In the past, the NRA Convention has followed local laws. When the convention was in Houston in years past, people carried lawfully. Don't imagine it will change, now.

Re: Ruger LC9S - Beware!

n5wd, You posted: "Why are you blaming Ruger for a after-market products problems? Seems unreasonable." Read my post a bit more carefully. As I previously posted, the after market magazine is a RUGER OEM product, just like the pistol. I would think me unreasonable too if the magazine was manufactur...

Re: Ruger LC9S - Beware!

...As mentioned earlier, not only did the pistol itself present multiple failures, the after market Ruger mfg. extended magazine failed. That's too many failures for me to find acceptable. <snip> Raspberrys to Ruger... Can you tell my patience towards Ruger and it's product failures is showing? Why...

Re: Shotgun selection

So my daughter is in FFA and she comes home from school telling me about a shooting group that will be shooting sporting clays. I have no firsthand knowledge in this area. But it seems a good excuse to buy her a shotgun that she can learn with, and decide if she likes the sport.... Any help would b...

...since I'm pretty much a home body, I remain perplexed about budding thugs who I haven't the vaguest clue how I could've provoked or incited their threatening behavior. Here's another thought. What you chose to believe was aggressive intimidation could have been just two dudes "acting a fool" and...

Re: Need help - our new employee got arrested a week ago

Arrested, or convicted? Are you under the federal 'drug free workplace' initiative? Do your terms of employment require the employee to reports arrests/convictions? Texas is an 'at will' employment state, so unless you have a contract with her in place, you can release her from employment for any r...

Re: Just wanted to share

I am seeing a lot of listings that do not include mineral rights. How does that typically work? If someone else owns the mineral rights, I'm assuming I would potentially need to give them access to get to those minerals (set up wells, do some digging, etc). How intrusive is this in general? I'm jus...

You might also check with Omaha Surplus on White Settlement Blvd in short Northwest-ish downtown Fort Worth (N on Henderson from dowtown, then Left (West) on awhite Settlement. They occassionally get a trailer load of various calibre cans and usually have a good price on them.

And while the NRA is certainly a deserving charity, don't forget that there are others included in the program, that are also worthy. My meager .05% is directed to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund, Inc., for example.
