Re: Made my first kydex revolver holster

I think it looks great. Plus, U get it exactly the way U want it along with the satisfaction of making it yourself. How much time did U invest in the project? This may just be the start to a new career.

PSA AR/XDS .45 Deal

I saw this today and it seemed like a good deal so I thought I’d pass it on. An entry level PSA AR and a Springfield XDS .45 for $699. This includes free shipping and no tax for us in Texas. I’ve dealt with PSA before and my experience has always been positive although their shipping is a little slo...

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

I agree with Mr. Cotton. I have been using these pads for several years now and they work great. I've used no. 9 with them as well with no issues although I wouldn't recommend spilling a whole bottle to test their effectiveness. Here's another tip to add. I pick them up at the dollar store in the pe...

Re: Cheap ranges to shoot at?

Congrats on passing the class. Athena is a nice range and is $18/hr. with no limit on guns. They also offer half off promotions so your rate on certain days would be $9. Monday for 55+ & vets, Tuesdays for CHL holders, Wednesdays for ladies, Thursdays if you tell them their Facebook word of the day....

Re: Woodbury outfitters

Only had one experience with WO and it was not good. I ordered something over two weeks in advance of a trip I was about to go on. My order was supposed to be in stock and delivered within seven days. The items did not make it to me till the day after I returned. When I tried to send them back becau...

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?

I've seen them on sale a few times. I think Bud's had one for around $300. They are readily available on Gunbroker used for around $250 depending on your timing. I'm not sure if they are all threaded but I know some are.

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?

TAM, Since I gather from your posts you are a refined gentleman I would not be surprised to know that “carry gun-like” for you included 1911’s so don’t forget about all the 22 conversion options out there. As far as other alternatives go… I had the original M&P 22 and I liked it and it felt an awful...

Re: Walther PPQ

I've not shot the PPQ but I've read lots of good things about it. That's not surprising to me as I currently have a PPS. I've also owned a CCP and a P99 in the past. They have all been great shooting, reliable guns. I've also had one experience with their customer service and it was top notch as wel...

Re: Another fix for my addiction.

Ah yes, we all have that itch we have to scratch. I had one of these many years ago but it seemed to be picky about ammo so I ended up getting rid of it. I do like the idea of a compact takedown though so a while back I picked up an old Marlin Papoose. It's a little rough around the edges but it's v...

Re: Which gun is it for you?

Like many of the posts here, the gun I’m most attached to is not due to performance but rather an emotional connection. My Dad was never a hunter or much of a shooter but he grew up on a farm and wanted me to know how to handle a firearm. When I was little he would borrow the neighbor’s 22 from acro...
