... My understanding is that she did file for PPP loan - but as we know the funds ran out and a lot of small businesses were left with no options. Also I personally know people who have been desperately trying to file for unemployment but cannot get through to even file for it. ... [/quote] You'd b...

Re: Any CPA's here

I also want to add that having a separate bank account that is used ONLY for business related expenses and income is a must. That will be the first thing the IRS looks at if they’re trying to determine if you are a business or hobby.

Re: Any CPA's here

I'm a Texas CPA and everything that was mentioned in the OP is a fully deductible business expense. Range fees, ammo, targets, etc are all deductible because you need to keep up your skill level in order to provide a quality service to the public. That is all part of doing business. There is definit...

The only thing that surprises me is that they are still in business. I guess not enough of us quit buying from them after SH. I know when folks inquire with me about on-line sources I warn them about CTD and explain their prior actions. Completely agree. Not only do I not shop with CTD, I tell ever...

Re: Is it just me? Downtown Austin or any large city

Downtown Austin is a cesspool and it’s getting worse. I’m 36 and a fairly big dude and I feel uncomfortable walking through downtown, even at midday. So you’re definitely not alone. On numerous occasions they’ve tried to engage me about something. When you don’t give them what they want, some can ge...

Once a proud Southern state, today's Virginia is what happens when newcomers move in and natives do not go out, to either care, or to vote. Please, Lord, with the influx of outsiders, let's don't let that happen to Texas.

Re: Road rage

I once had a guy in a very large truck (Ford diesel) go crazy on me one morning on my way to work in East Plano. I was driving in the middle lane of a 3 lane residential street and passed a line of slowing moving cars in the left lane. The guy was the leader of the slow moving car line. I guess he d...

Since it was written notice, the wording needed to match the wording in 30.06 and 30.07 exactly, I believe.
Additionally, it must be in both English and Spanish.

Re: Accessing juvinile records

I was in a bit of a similar situation. I applied for my CHL when I was around 30. Before I turned 21, I had a couple MIPs and a DUI, including a night in the city jail for one of the MIPs. (BTW, I've had no problems with the law since I turned 21.) When I applied for my CHL, I couldn't remember the ...

I don't want anyone you has had the lack of judgement to have committed a felony or receive a DUI to process a firearm. How am I assured they won't have another moment when the can't behave responsibly? Ah yes. I see you are taking a page right out of the anti-gunner's playbook. "I don't think you ...

Re: TTPD officer killed...

The discussion coming from a Texas Tech message board I frequent is that the TTPD do not frisk/search people nor do they put people in handcuffs, usually. They want to give the impression that the TTU campus is a safe, crime-free place.

If that is indeed the policy, I'm sure it will be changing.
