Re: Anybody with a Lathe?
Anybody know of a good machine shop in the North DFW area?
I work at a machine shop in Dallas, but in the west central area, close I35E and 183/Regal Row.
I could easily do this for you. If you're willing to bring it by the shop one morning I can knock it out while you grab a bite to eat ...

Re: best holster for shorts?
How is the retention on the crossbreed modular bellyband? And does the grip tend to stick out? Or seem like its falling forward? I am looking more into it and seems like the best all around option.
The retention is pretty good. While not as solid as a fully formed kydex holster, there is a ...

Re: best holster for shorts?
I have had good results using a bellyband style setup while bicycling and/or hiking. Crossbreed has a system that uses a modular kydex holster with a velcro baking that is molded specific to your pistol(s). I have their modular bellyband holsters for my Shield and 9c. I've also used bellybands with ...

Re: M&P shield carriers...
I EDC a Shield 9mm 1.0 with the Apex Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit installed. I had a gunsmith install it for good measure, as with my other two M&P pistols. Excellent trigger. I can't speak for the Monarch but highly recommend the Apex kit.

Re: Wife needs on body carry - belly band?
I've tried a couple generic belly bands and while they've worked ok, left a bit to be desired. Crossbreed holsters has a belly band system that costs a bit more, but comes with a kydex holster "insert" that is more secure in covering the trigger guard and retention. I have their modular kydex ...
