Re: M&P shield carriers...

I EDC a Shield 9mm 1.0 with the Apex Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit installed. I had a gunsmith install it for good measure, as with my other two M&P pistols. Excellent trigger. I can't speak for the Monarch but highly recommend the Apex kit.

Re: Wife needs on body carry - belly band?

I've tried a couple generic belly bands and while they've worked ok, left a bit to be desired. Crossbreed holsters has a belly band system that costs a bit more, but comes with a kydex holster "insert" that is more secure in covering the trigger guard and retention. I have their modular kydex holste...

Re: Patriot Dawn: The Resistance Rises

I have read both Patriot Dawn and Patriot Rising, both in Kindle version. I think the physical copies would be better for reviewing the diagrams of certain battles/engagements, but you don't loose too much IMO. I thought it was worth reading as a novel and a "prepping manual." While the characters a...

Re: Thinner gun belt

You might take a look at the Maxpedition Liger gun belt. https://www.maxpedition.com/products/1-5-liger-gun-belt?variant=31916865169 I wore mine for a couple years carrying either my M&P 9c or my Shield and two extra mag pouches, plus keys, and all the stuff in my pockets. It's only 5/32 (.156") thi...

Re: Mossberg Shockwave

I just got off the phone with Buds regarding my reserve order for this firearm. They are saying that they just got word that these firearms are not legal in the state of Texas, so they needed to cancel my order. Unfortunately, she was not able too give me any details. Has anyone else heard about th...

Re: Arlington Homeowner Shoots Car Burglar

Since the crime was being committed at night the use of deadly force was justified according to state law.

Re: Recommendations for a hand-held "tactical" flashlight

Check out the TerraLUX TT series of lights. I've been EDC'ing the TT-5 for about four years now. Lot's of good features including momentary on, a dedicated button for direct-to-strobe mode, and a crenelated bezel. They now also make a USB rechargeable model. Comes with a pocket clip, lanyard, holste...

Change of Address Versus Renewal Question

I'll be moving in June and my CHL expires in October. I just renewed my drivers license in October last year so I'll simply be putting in for an address change for that. I'll probably do the DL address change a week before I physically move. My question is, can I go ahead and apply for a renewal of ...
