Re: El Paso to Alpine: 2020 Lonestar Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
The annual poetry even sounds cool. I visited Alpine and BBNP for the first time a few years ago. I never saw any javelina, but I did see some exotic-looking range animals with tall straight horns. I'm guessing they belonged to someone who offers exotic hunts on their ranch. I fell in love with that...

Re: Outdoor private ranges like Mission 160
The North TX/DFW area is a geographically large area. I’ve never heard of Mission 161 and have no idea where it is. So my guess is that it’s far from the southern part of DFW where I’m more familiar. That said, TDSA in Ferris and ETTS in Waxahachie are private membership ranges that allow you to do ...

Re: WACO TACTICAL FITNESS BIATHLON OCT 12
If I remember correctly, I think their longest distance target was 600 yards at their 2018 10K event. So if you can find a range that offers that kind of distance, that would help. FWIW, my range only goes out to 200 yards. I was still able to make their 600 yard shot, even though I had never shot t...

As one of Puerto Rican descent who once lived in Puerto Rico, this is good news for our fellow Americans living in that US Territory.

What a shame. I used to live in Pensacola and enjoyed visiting the naval air museum on base. My daughter still lives there. Beautiful area. My condolences to the victims’ families.

Re: TX: Chambers County Woman killed by feral hogs
Rural folks should be packing when they go outside. Feral hogs will run away like you know what when you open up on them. Your odds of being attacked are certainly low but always best to be prepared. Running away when shot at is true ALMOST all of the time. I have personally witnessed one 300 lb bo...

Re: SCOTUS Allows Sandy Hook Lawsuit to Proceed
Well, good thing we have that Trump-packed SCOTUS to protect our 2A rights. :banghead: 2 is not a majority. How did Gorsuch and Kavanaugh vote re Cert? I’d like to know how the justices voted as well. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much on the Supreme Court’s website other than a simple denial to h...

Re: 1911 Bug bites again. Which one?
I have the Colt Competition in stainless. Funny how you want a blued but can only find stainless, while I wanted stainless but could only find blued at the time. Anyway, I really enjoy mine. It’s more accurate than I am, but I hope to improve with time. Mine has never had a jam or failure of any kin...
