Of course, he is a UT grad, so that might help explain it.
My son graduated from UTA. When he would come home on breaks, it would take everything I had not to completely loose my crap on some of the leftist loon garbage that came out of his mouth. This was when Odumbell ran for his first term. Those kids had convinced each other that voting for Odumbell was the only way to prove you were not a racist. He could not tell me anything that Odumbell would do to improve our country. Just having a black president in itself was the ticket to freedom. It would usually shut him up when I reminded him that it was republican money paying his tuition and housing(ME). He then graduated from University of Houston school of law. He still will say things that make me want to hang myself but he claims to be libertarian now. I think the problem is that the entire higher education system has been taken over by communists. They are using the money conservative parents pay them to indoctrinate our youth in the ways of Karl Marx and social "equity".

I had him sitting in a deer stand with me at 3 years old and he killed his first buck at 8. He loves shooting sports and many of my conservative ways are deeply ingrained in him. I think his upbringing is all that stands between him and total leftist loon thinking.
If I'm not mistaken, it was Karl Marx who said, "The capitalists will sell us the rope that we use to hang them." When you think about the money the Clintons and Bidens have made from Russia and China, sounds like he was on to something.

He did not go to a protest with a rifle. The protest came to him.
I'm torn on this. I get the folks saying he shouldn't have gone to a trouble area armed. On the other hand, when the heck DO we stand up and say "Enough!" The advice to "wait on the professionals" carries less and less weight as police are defunded, and rioting, looting, and burning businesses is classified as "Mostly Peaceful protest." When do we pick up arms and protect the innocent?
I'd like to fix things at the polls, but do we trust them now?
My dad was a Green Beret stationed 100 miles south of the Fulda Gap In the early 1960S. We were there with him as military dependents. Sometimes I have imaginary conversations with my parents of that time. I try to explain to them what America of 2021 looks like. They don't believe me.

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

Prosecutor James Krause just propounded that "There is no such thing as handedness in guns. There are no right or left handed guns."

Listening to closing argument. Blood pressure going up. Hope Binger loses his job and is never allowed in a courtroom again.

OneGun wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:40 pm The world is messed up. The other day, on a news website, I explained in the comments section on a story about Kyle that Kyle was running away before he fired his gun, and only fired when he fell and was cornered by three people that were attacking him. A person argued with me that the three people were chasing Kyle in self-defense for the shooting they expected him to commit.

I have never heard such baloney before.

I have never understood the logic that running away from a confrontation makes you the aggressor. Nonetheless, the DA charged Kyle with murder for shooting the people that were chasing him, cornering him, and attacking him. Did the DA really expect Kyle to let himself get killed? And the people attacking Kyle are felons. I don't understand the logic that Kyle was the aggressor.

When I took my CHL class many moons ago, the instructor said, you cannot claim self-defense if you are the aggressor. His suggestion when you are outside of your home, avoid the confrontation. Leave the area. His next point, was if you have to shoot, you, your loved one, etc. have to be in imminent harm.

Because of the political crisis in this country, the moral compass is gone. What was right, is now wrong and vice versa. People that were never slaves demand reparations from people that never owned slaves. Defunding the police will make us safer. The Anti-facists use the violent tactics they attribute to conservatives and Trump supporters, but you never see violent masses of conservatives protesting, looting, and rioting. If race relations are so bad as the media makes our country out to be, then how come my black neighbors and colleagues and I get along so well? How did we end up in this Twilight Zone?
I just finished this book. It might have been recommended on this site. It really speaks to a lot of what you've said. "Multiple Attackers.

DEB wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:24 pm Something that I have noticed, nobody is talking about how, with hundreds if not thousands of protestors are rioting, one guy shoots 3 folks and all of them turn out to be felons? They weren't targeted, just random attacks against Kyle. The first one shot, Rosenbaum a registered sex offender with a plethora of other arrests, including battery, disorderly conduct and domestic abuse charges. Huber the second guy arrested several times on battery and drugs. The last Comrade Grosskreutz, a convicted felon, some are now saying his convictions for burglary was a misdemeanor. Grosskreutz, even though he his not allowed to have a firearm, and online pictures clearly showing him having a firearm, has not been arrested? Only the 17 year old that stepped forward in time of need.
Back to what I was speaking about, what are the chances that when shooting at a group of people that everyone shot is a convicted criminal? How many criminals are in these protests, in order for that to happen? I have read where Chavez in Venezuela used criminals to attack his opponents, with Maduro continuing the practice. Look at all of these Communists in the past, the most favored were hard core criminals, Stalin, mug shots from robbing banks and etc. One can look them up, not only arrested for subversion, but actual true and common criminal activities, theft, kidnapping and etc. All of these so called saints shot by the Police had criminal histories that were also very extensive. But, Christian Conservatives are now viewed as the evil? I say God Bless Kyle Rittenhouse, just am sorry that he got caught up in this, which was probably and initially youthful exuberance and patriotism. I don't think this is the end, perhaps this was the shot that has stirred the tiger as it were. We will see. United States has a dark future if these communists continue these riots, folks might start getting tired of it themselves and start reacting violently and where you will belong to one side or the other, usually there isn't any such thing as neutrality in a nation imploding into full violence.
