S&W Revolver Smith

I recently acquired a S&W 642-2 and would like to get a trigger job completed on it. I am looking for recommendations for DFW smiths that any one has used. Optimally someone near Fort Worth is desired.

Re: Well that was weird. Glock 17 trigger & mods

Your striker safety had interference or grittiness associate with its movement and that was what effecting your trigger pull. The trigger bar engages the striker safety to allow the striker to impact the primer at the end of its movement. You want the striker safety button to freely move to prevent ...

Re: WACO TACTICAL FITNESS BIATHLON OCT 12

There were only 13 slots left in the Heat #4 as of early this morning. The Waco TF does have the Sprint on Sunday which is a reduced distance and lower round count. The sprint is a good way be introduced to the Biathlon and give you a real good measure of what equipment you would like to use or need...

Re: The Tactical Games coming to Texas

It does look like the Tactical Games pushes the envelop with its obstacle level of difficulty. I am glad they have an over 45 division given the difficulty. Waco is tough enough with its 8 foot wall.

Re: Lonestar Armory Run and Gun (Biathlon)

The entry fee varies from 125 to 140 plus processing by eventbrite, a couple of dollars. You can run an AR pistol if you want I suppose, but there are targets out to 500. An AR pistol will have issues in the wind at ranges over 300 I would guess. I run a 18 inch barrel so I do not lose too much velo...

If I do this correctly is a link to completing the test with eyes closed. He also included a draw which is not part of the test.

Re: Lonestar Armory Run and Gun (Biathlon)

Waco TF did select their name to fit the letters. I have run all but the Oct 2016Crawford biathlons and this is the first time I have cleaned the shooting stages, usually have at least 1 or 2 DNFs. I am a greybeard so have never done the wall though I plan to eventually, just take the 15 minute pena...

Re: Lonestar Armory Run and Gun (Biathlon)

Last Weekend's Waco TF was mudfest with rain and hail in the am. I was at least able to get all 7 stages with out DNFing.

Re: Lonestar Armory Run and Gun (Biathlon)

I say try it, that is the only way you will know what you need to work on improving. It will keep you younger and be a motivation to loose some weight. I have improved with age. The competition level has definitely improved and made me work harder and gives me something to work on every week. Dan cr...
