Re: Why two signs?

Question: If there is only a valid 30.06 sign posted, is open carry still permissible on the premises? Going further, by not posting a valid 30.07 sign has the owner invalidated their 30.06 signage? The two signs are completely independent of one another. 30.06 only covers concealed carry while 30....

Re: Texas3006.com Android App in official beta

Lol my what a list of demands for an app that's not even released yet :txflag: Cool, but what's this app going to do? I'd like one that generates a notification If I'm near any of the "illegal-guns only" zones created by a thirty-ought sign... This is already available with the iPhone app (finishin...

Why two signs?

So, I'm probably just being thick here, but... If the .06 bans concealed, wouldn't it also ban open? Are there some situations where a location can ban concealed but allow open? Ok, sure... How would I know if CC was OK? I get that, but I actually thought about it a minute, and I know lots of CHLers...

Cool, but what's this app going to do? I'd like one that generates a notification If I'm near any of the "illegal-guns only" zones created by a thirty-ought sign... maybe send my android wear watch a trigger to show a big red "THIS AREA IS UNSAFE" peak card. Maybe yellow for ought-sevens, and red fo...

Re: Side affect of HB 910

I had a $8.00 top sirloin at an Applebee's just last week. It was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to my specification. I don't visit yelp, or online restaurant review sites because of all the idiot reviewers and self appointed food critics, so I agree with the objection to bringing it up her...

Re: Major advancements for Texas CHL holders

Remember, back in 1776 the original program was free, required 0 hours of training, and had NO registration or licensing of any kind. I'd like to see all of the states return to that program. From that perspective, the progressives and opportunists should be glad to have gotten what they were able ...

Re: Buying with a CHL

I wrote one of the guys that works there and he said the form was a federal requirement. Which sucks, because it basically means that every gun I buy is "registered". He stated that the DL/CHL was story policy. I had asked about their document retention policy and disposition schedule and he respond...

Buying with a CHL

I have questions about my first gun purchase since getting my CHL. I bought my first .223 black rifle yesterday; mostly because I don't have much hope that the liberal Republican party will do much to stop the liberal Democrat party from banning them at some point in the near future. But enough of p...

Re: Law Requiring CHL to show when carrying

My Brother In Law handed over his during a traffic stop and the officer handed back his CHL and said, "I don't care about that." My BIL just said."No sir," but I've wondered ever since. Are Police educated about this requirement? I hope they won't think I'm trying to threaten or curry-favor.

Re: San Antonio Highland Games 51% Sign

Ok, maybe it's clear to the guy who wrote it, and a few lawyers, but what about the rest of the world? Where does the "building" end? Can I say that my whole city is a "building" and post a red sign at the city limits because we have a bar?

Anybody want to try to see my point here?
