I stand corrected, the concealed carry of a long gun is not mentioned in law, therefore it's legal. And actually less restricted than a handgun in were you can carry it.aceat64 wrote:I agree with TrueFlog here. I don't think the TPC says open or concealed with regards to long guns.TrueFlog wrote:Do you have a reference on that? To my knowledge, there's nothing in the TPC that criminalizes concealed carry of a long arm.Dadtodabone wrote:The operative word that is missing here is OPEN. You may Open Carry a long gun in Texas, no trench coats, dusters, ponchos, etc. over the weapon.TrueFlog wrote:No. Texas law doesn't distinguish between NFA and NFA-firearms. If it's a handgun, you need a CHL to carry it regardless of whether it's an NFA firearm, and the usual CHL rules apply. Likewise, if it's a long gun, you don't need a license to carry - doesn't matter if it's NFA or not.Ericstac wrote:So you can carry the NFA weapon anywhere? Even in posted buildings and off limited zones like school or court?
I'm getting a sling/rig for my SBR.
