Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

If any of our members live in Parker or Wise county, please write your representative Phil King and ask him to support this bill. He is the chair of the committee the bill has been assigned to, Homeland Security and Public Safety. There are nine members of this committee. They will decide whether t...

Tennessee's law goes into effect next week. Hopefully we can learn from it and put something in front of the legislature in 2017.

Allow lawsuits against an entity that bans firearms if an LTC holder is injured/killed on premises like Tennessee is looking at doing.

Re: HB910/SB17 standoff

[rant] HB910/SB17 should be passed simply because it's none of the Government's buisness what manner I chose to carry my chosen tool for defense. HB308 and, to a lesser extent, SB11 should be passed because 1) the governement should not be telling law abiding citizens where they can and cannot go w...

Reducing the off limits areas for all 800,000+ CHLers would have been much more benifitial. I doubt many of those 800,000 will OC and only a fraction of them will be affected by Campus Carry.
Correct; HB308 is far more important and it's languishing in committee.

Re: What do you mean "don't vote early!!!?"

If you have the misfortune to read this terrible advice calling on you to wait until Nov. 4th to vote, then please ignore it and vote as soon as you can. Who knows, you may get sick, called out of town, run into broken voting machines, etc. Chas. Or you might die, in which case your ghost will cast...

Re: Joe Straus

Is there a plan for unseating Straus from the Speakers chair? How can I help? What, if any, sway would a Governor Abbott (assuming, I know) have over a reappointed Speaker Straus? It would be a shame to see HB3218 (revived) languish in committee again without a vote. :banghead: Hopefully after this...

Re: Critical legislation for 2015

Finally got a reply from Scott Turner and it was a generic form letter. "I support the Second Amendment and got an NRA "A" rating, blah, blah, blah".

Sorry Scott, you'll need to do better than that...
