Re: Complaint filed against Lubbock County Courthouse

This is a huge "can of worms." Something tells me the upcoming Texas Legislature may be re-writing some definitions---stay tuned. What if the courthouse opens at 8 a.m. but court does not start until 9 a.m.? Will the folks who get in at 8 a.m. have to exit the courthouse at 9 a.m. and remove their ...

Hobby Lobby had their Christmas stuff out in August.
Hobby Lobby and other craft stores (Michaels, Jo-Ann etc.) put out their Christmas craft items early so that people have time to make their projects and have them ready when the time to decorate comes around.

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

Logically there is zero possibility that allowing carry there will not result eventually in the unlawful use of those firearms. Ok, for the sake of intellectual consistency, let's take this train of thought to it's logical conclusion, and no, this is not reductio ad absurdum. Logically, there is ze...

Re: Liberty County Building - Posted

That simply isn't true. While there has been no widespread outbreak of unlawful shootings by those legally carrying they have occurred. All it would take is one taking place in a courtroom or other currently restricted place for the backlash to hit us hard and extend far beyond the location where i...

You know, after reflection this probably qualifies as a hate crime, with mandatory sentence enhancements.
It isn't a hate crime if the person being attacked isn't a disadvantaged minority or a "protected" class.

That is just the way the law is applied: Inconsistently.

Re: Should you draw your weapon to help a LEO?

Texas Penal Code 9.33 and 9.34 spells this out pretty well: Sec. 9.33. DEFENSE OF THIRD PERSON. A person is justified in using force or deadly force against another to protect a third person if: (1) under the circumstances as the actor reasonably believes them to be, the actor would be justified un...

Re: My first BB gun purchase

I bought that to work with my boys on shooting basics. The biggest issue I see with it is it has a VERY stiff stock trigger that can be hard for little hands to pull. It is a cute and fairly accurate bb-gun though. Lots of fun to shoot!

Have fun!

Re: Unmask Antifa Act

Bad law. 15 years for a dress code. We don't need more laws. Are you suggesting (Gasp) that congress not pass laws? Whatever would they do? You would take away the only thing that makes them important! Congress doesn't need to pass drivel like this. Just like they didn't need to pass "hate crime" l...

Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

So here's how the law reads: [GC §411.205. REQUIREMENT TO DISPLAY LICENSE. If a license holder is carrying a handgun on or about the license holder’s person when a magistrate or a peace officer demands that the license holder display identification, the license holder shall display both the license...
