Re: Got Over Fear of Carry with One down the Pipe

I have read documentation of exactly one instance in which a normally-operating handgun fired without the trigger being pulled. It was an M1991A1 (a 1911) which fired while cocked and locked.

A cop walked into an MRI room after a misunderstanding of where the radiologist told him to go, and those very strong magnets just yanked the gun, and pulled the firing pin block out of the way.

So, keep your gun in good working order, holstered w/ the trigger covered, don't try to catch it if you drop it and stay away from ridiculously strong magnets, should be no troubles carrying with one in the pipe ;)
