I have never been, but there are places along the Canadian River bottom north of Amarillo that people go to legally target shoot.

Lubbock PD had stopped him earlier as suspect when gun was reported stolen, but didn’t have probable cause to search.

I bevieve the emissions test is tied to the federal clean air act, cities that don't meet the clean air standards are required to have emissions test in order for the state to receive federal highway funds.

From my office window I routinely see motorcycle police sit on private property and run radar. Usually in 2 min or less they take off after someone. (I am a surveyor and yes, they are on private property)

Right now, at 18:30: Houston -- 78 degrees Waco -- 45 degrees Dallas -- 32 degrees Amarillo -- 6 degrees! Sure looks like a cold front to me. Anchorage, Alaska, by the way, is 31 degrees. A lot of the movie was filmed in Portales and Clovis, NM. You can almost see Texas from those towns.
