Re: Houston Man playing with gun shoots himself

“At some point, he racked the gun, not realizing he had placed a round in the chamber, according to police. He removed the magazine, put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, shooting himself.” I’m torn between just thinking “stupid hurts”, and thinking what a shame it is that no one taught th...

Re: FL:Jewelry Store robbery, UPS truck jacking, police chase, shoot out, 4 dead

Too many law enforcement officers think they are in military combat. I regularly see a group of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies eating lunch in camouflage uniforms - why the heck do LEO’s need camo, especially in a large metropolitan area? Too much of a military mindset. I know they have a tough, d...

Re: No place but Venezuela

Do you have any background information on the website that you linked to: theunionjournsl.com? Where is it based? Who owns it? Many of the articles, including the one cited, seem to be the product of machine translation. Another article was on the University of South Florida firing their football co...

Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations

There are a number of good options, including the GP 100, and the S&W 627 and 686. If you are planning to shoot .357 magnum rounds on a regular basis, I would suggest a revolver weighing at least 32 ounces, and preferably around 40 ounces.

WTB: S&W 432 PD

Interested in buying a S&W 432 PD (scandium J-frame, 6-rd, concealed hammer, 32 H&R magnum). Would also consider a 431 (similar exposed-hammer model). Anybody have one that is gathering dust?

I saw gas at 4.54 in California a couple of weeks ago. And If you ever find yourself in Paso Robles, be sure and visit the Hogue Pro Shop there.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7572473/White-cop-shot-dead-28-year-old-black-woman-home-wellness-check-RESIGNS.html Full blown murder. That seems over charging. But mayoral elections are soon. How many shots did he fire, if one, he could have had his finger on the trigger and she startled...

Re: Double-Action Only Semi-Automatic Pistol

S&W Bodyguard 380 is a double-action-only, hammer fired pistol. The slide only ejects the spent casing and chambers the next round; it does not cock a hammer or striker. Pulling the trigger cocks, then releases, the hammer.

Edited to add that this offers double strike capability.

Re: TX: Dallas man goes back to bed after shooting burglar.

Just guessing, but it is likely that the physical evidence was inconsistent with what the man told police. This, combined with the delay in reporting, and the suggested tampering with evidence, might be enough for the investigators to doubt his story of self defense. Don’t buy the “hero” a trophy, j...

Is it mere coincidence that, one week after Trump fires the hawkish, anti-Iran, National Security Advisor, Iran attacks Saudi oil facilities?

Re: Albertsons goes the way of Walmart

You're right, OC just ain't my thing. Furthermore, in the current widespread, anti-gun atmosphere, I firmly feel that we 2A believer gun owners should not taunt our opposition with our 1791AD Second Amendment rights. There's a lot more of them than there are of us. "....out of sight, out of mind", ...
