Re: On line classes have started

It's likely that some of the actual instructors are not actually gun guys at all, but work for a company whose owner took the necessary courses to be authorized to sign off on the forms. I would bet that the online process was started by a member of the legislature who was taken to an expensive golf...

Re: LTC-9

I think you are likely to get grief over that. Maybe not, but they want the LTC-101 form, filled out.

Re: 4 Years of responsible CC, now time to renew. Need some help pls.

They are not asking if you are retired military. The DD-214 is your proof of discharge, showing you as a veteran. If you got the license originally as a veteran, for the discount, you have already submitted that. If you did not, and now you tell them you are a veteran, you will need to send it now, ...

Re: CA: 7-11 Robbery gone right

The guard is 6 ft away, and both robbers can still walk?
Not a very good shot. They are lucky to be going to jail instead of the coroner.

SIG P-320 yet again

SIG sued for $10,000,000. Gun discharges by itself. :confused5

Re: Independence Day: your thoughts

Remember, that the battle at Lexington and Concord ("the shot heard 'round the world") was brought on by the first effort in the new world at gun control.

That didn't work out so well for the Brits.

Re: Poll: Nonresident Out of State License

Unless I am mistaken, Constitutional Carry is only valid for residents of that state. Having a license that is accepted by Maine (or other CC states) would still be required, unless you have residence there.

I'm impressed that the company was willing to admit their error, and change.

Re: M&P 2.0 pistols (particularly the compact)

I have the 9mm 2.0 Compact. No problems. It is OK, but just OK. S&W makes some guns that are worth telling everyone about, like the fabulous 686 revolver, and even the Shield. This, not so much. The full-size M&P .45 is also very good.

The Compact is OK, but it's no CZ.

Re: School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

I did have one small school system that was already sending their people to Active Shooter training at a local range. They decided on their own that they wanted the State certification, contacted me, and are paying me to travel to their location to teach multiple classes. Maybe the word will get aro...

Re: "Answer, but don’t open your door" - Hsoi

I realized recently that a stout guy could break in my front door easily, so I got some brackets (from Amazon), screwed them to the studs on either side of the door, and put a 2x4 across the door. Now it would take a Jeep to take that door down. Then they have to get past a dog, a .357 Magnum, a .45...

Re: NO more FGC for me!

I also quit FGC. I was a charter member, but they are not i terested in shooters; they want newbies, so they can sell them guns and classes and headsets and tactical clothing. They oversold their capacity, then stopped customer service. They are just salesmen.

Re: School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

2 year waiting list! As discouraged as those people may be, wait until they finally finish and find out there is almost no market for it. I do have 5 classes scheduled this summer, for 2 districts, but the majority of schools either are too PC to even consider this (most of them), or will only deal ...
