According to my lawyer, my case is discharged, dismissed, and sealed. So does this still disqualify me? If it does disqualify for CHL, does it disqualify me to purchase firearms (for hunting and home protection, etc).
If it was truly sealed, then it will not disqualify you for a CHL.

i did ask the "question" to my lawyer, who stated that "possession" is not illegal in my particular situation. but as with lawyers, thats all he would say. he is a criminal defense attorney, and is not 100% positive on the statutes concerning CHL. He did state that i could purchase from private ...

If you are a certified EMT in Texas and have a felony conviction you are also in violation of Texas Law. If you signed a voting rights termination you were convicted of a felony. I would lawyer up cause Texas State Department of Health Services may have to talk to you as well.

Lawyer. Call your local poling place and try to register as a voter, if it's still a "no", that should answer the rest of your questions.
