Re: Let’s talk .22 pistols

Friends don't let friends buy Taurus... Unless it is the TX22! I have a few hundred rounds through mine. I got it earlier this year, right before Covid shut some of the ranges down. I fired many brands of .22lr through it, mostly bulk ammo that I scrounged for during the great .22lr shortage. It fed...

A 30/30 lever gun is usually what I keep handy when filling feeders and stuff out on the lease.

Re: Report expired paper tags

Remember, there is currently a temporary waiver in place for tags due to Covid-19. Your neighbor may have driven with expired tags anyway, but right now she is good. Personally, I would drop the pettiness and worry about my own business... let the history between you to be history.

Re: Gov of TX issues mask order!?!

Why are we seeing the spike now? Some say Memorial Day gatherings, some say protests, some say bars. I have a feeling that all of these may have contributed. My neighbor and his whole family was very active in local area protests, and he told me yesterday that they are having some symptoms. A guy t...

Re: Gov of TX issues mask order!?!

We were told that the purpose of the restrictions was to flatten the curve, to avoid overwhelming the hospitals. OK, we did that. Now, I'm not sure what the goal is. No new cases? I'm not sure what the goal of the restrictions could be. I'm not aware of a single place where the hospitals are close ...

Re: Springfield hellcat POI is off

What kind of sight picture are you using? I don't have a Hellcat, but when I got my Sig P290, I constantly shot low. Found that I was not using the correct sight picture. I was trying to use the center hold sight picture, where the top of my sights would split the target in half. I then learned that...

Re: So you want to buy a firearm during a pandemic

this doesn't make any sense, the law says at most 3 days to reject....nowhere in there does it say 3.5 weeks. if the rejection doesn't come in 3 days the FFL should make the transfer. It is up to the FFL if they make the transfer or not. When I worked the gun counter at Academy many years ago, thei...

Re: Bloomberg campaign in TX

They are referring to the "gun show loophole"... sales between individuals do not require a background check. They are pushing for the universal background check, which would require all gun sales, even between private parties, to undergo the background check. Not sure how they plan to enforce that,...

From the OSBI website https://osbi.ok.gov/handgun-licensing/faq Specifically, > Can I carry in Oklahoma if I have a license from another state? Oklahoma recognizes any valid concealed or unconcealed carry weapons permit or license issued by another state. If you are from a state that allows you to ...
