Re: Best Gun for Home Defense

His bias against the shotgun only proved one thing... birdshot is for birds.

Re: LTC Not Accepted at Polling Location

I use my LTC as ID pretty much any time I can. It's good to let people know that the friendly, polite, normal person they are talking to is a progun person. The only way we can make good impressions for the progun community and try to challenge the narrative being pushed by the leftists is if peopl...

Re: Button Rifle Barrels vs. Hammer Forged

The Marshal, Thanks for your input. The article I read also mentioned that 'free floating' barrels are more accurate and I'm fairly sure that's true, but on a general purpose AR fixed barrel (if that's the correct terminology), that's not being used as a competition rifle and one I've yet to shoot ...

Re: Button Rifle Barrels vs. Hammer Forged

I have not heard that hammer forged barrels provides greater accuracy over button cut barrels. Actually have heard the opposite. Match grade barrels are not typically hammer forged. Hammer forged barrels are said to last longer, but I wouldn't stress over it. The barrel on your Colt is a consumable....

Re: LTC Not Accepted at Polling Location

Insisting on being using the LTC/CHL as an ID is a lot like wearing a tiara and CHL sash, punctuated by a badge. It's a right, but why do some folks insist that everyone know that they own some guns, right after you verified your address? If you have an LTC/CHL you needed a drivers license or ID to...

Re: Sweeney TX: 13 yo shoots 11 yo brother in head by accident

My children were taught from a very early age not to touch my guns, both were taught to shoot when they were 4yo, my daughter never had much interest, my son by the time he was 13 had his own guns and could hit an egg size target at 400yds, had a AR15 in his closet, I trusted him implicitly with a ...

Wow... just watched that video on FB... the fence is gone, looks like the structure for the rifle range is gone. I hope they can rebuild.

Re: 16 year old daughter pocket knife/ pepper spray

There are no guarantees in life, but self-defense is absolutely not limited to being a strictly mechanical process. It's not about the mechanics of "can she use a knife successfully in a fight". It's about the whole package of the woman and how she presents, and the signals she gives off to the res...

Re: 16 year old daughter pocket knife/ pepper spray

Is your daughter a ninja or trained knife fighter? If not, the chances of it getting taken away from her and used against her are higher... They say the same things about handguns...so why bother carry anything? Well, with a handgun, a little distance is your friend. A knife is much more up ...

Re: I Want to Build A Rifle.

I’ve built ARs out of both forged and billet receivers. The billet receivers were very nice in appearance - and in one case, had additional features not found on most other receivers - but I can’t truthfully say that the billet receiver rifles were any more accurate than the forged receiver rifles....
