Re: The importance of Pre-existing Knowledge for SD

Had I been smarter when I started out training seriously for SD I would have started a book where I put the various SD articles I've read, training certificates, etc. for exactly this purpose.

Re: CC question towards mall policy?

As far as open air malls, such as the domain or outlets. The domain has multiple ways to enter, let alone there are 3 parts to the domain. None of which I have seen any 30.06/30.07 signs, only 51% and such for clubs and bars. So legally I can conceal carry? Or do I follow the ‘no firearms/weapon ru...

Not a meme per se, but interesting.

This is a billboard on I-35N just north of New Braunfels.

There's (at least) one on I-10 near Seguin too.

Re: Looking for a safe recommendation

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately I live in an apartment so getting a massive heavy safe is probably out of the question, as is bolting one to the floor. I only need enough room for 1 rifle and a few hand guns. For now anyway, I'd like something good to deter thieves but also somewhat fire safe. ...

The law as it stands this moment exempt certain security personnel who are on duty from the prohibition against carrying clubs, so pretty sure the law considers batons to be clubs, along with anything else you can whack somebody with.

If the law is not vetoed by Governor Abbot, it will into effect September 1, 2019. Until then knuckles and clubs remain illegal.
Well, by "now" I meant when the law goes into effect. The question is, does the bill allow carry of clubs in public? It appears to me that it does.

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...

HB 446. Removes "knuckles" from PC 46.05. But what is bigger news, to me anyway, is it also appears to remove carrying a "club" in public as an offense from PC 46.02. Whoa! Somebody else go read the text and see if I'm right: https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/86R/billtext/html/HB00446F.htm Does this...
