You should be really close! Hang in there, I know it is tough! When the status never changes you don't know if you are making progress or if you are stuck and just don't know it.ktusc wrote:I was hoping my status would change today! Man the anticipation is eating at me!

Congrats to all!
Congrats BK and Sig! I'm glad your long wait is finally over.
Hopefully I will be just two weeks behind because of my clerical error and receive mine by the 29th! I have been out of town and was pretty sure you all would have plastic in hand by the time I returned.
According to the staff member I spoke with earlier this morning, my application is finally complete and should ship out tomorrow!
Although this was obviously great news, my optimism is a little tempered due to the fact that the DPS website still displays "processing application" for my app. I'm hoping that they simply neglected to update the website, and that my CHL is really and truly squared-away!
I can almost taste those greasy Walmart nachos, dude!

Congrats! That's awesome. Post when your status flips so we will know the delay!

I believe that I might have some kind of record. I will get my CHL before my permanent driver's license. I applied for my DL on May 08th. Due to a mix up at the DPS I have had to get four more temporaries. I still don't have my picture DL.

With all of these folks getting "license active" notifications, I halfway expected to see some good news today! We'll see if it changes by the weekend...

I heard good things about One Day CHL, what did you think of your experience?
I really liked it. It was interesting and well prepared. Went as as fast as you would expect for it to go. We shot at Hot Wells range and it was hotter than the devil. Shot into the sun at 5:00 PM. I would recommend them. A great value I think. All inclusive for $95. Pictures, prints, notary, everything you need.

I'm an Idiot!
No luck required. I called and was told only that an affidavit was incomplete. I received the letter today. The AUTHORIZATION FOR RELEASE OF RECORDS AFFIDAVIT has six places to initial. I only initialed five. I must have stopped and then did not go back to it. I knew none of that stuff applied to me and just got in too big of a hurry. Anyway it is back on it's way to Austin on overnight delivery. We will see how much delay this causes me. The turn around will be about a week, so we can see how mine progresses compared to Sig!SiG239 wrote: good luck with DPS glock19

...documented...well...just kidding! No, it says missing information so it is some dumb clerical error, but I can't figure out what it would be. It will be OK though. I have made it this far without CHL, another week won't make that much difference. I keep reminding myself that I put off the CHL class a month because I had something else I wanted to do. So 30 days is on me anyway.badkarma56 wrote:Cheer up, big guy! I'm sure that this is only a hiccup. I suspect that once you've spoken directly with DPS, you'll be able to sort it all out in a reasonable amount of time. We'll all get the plastic eventually, dude!glock19springtx wrote:No, I have been in training all week and can't call them. No letter as of today. I will be able to call on Thursday if I don't receive their letter on Wednesday. I'm bummed.SiG239 wrote:did you ever find out what was wrong with your application glock19?
So if your status changes to application processing than they have already looked through everything, and there will be no problems?
Of course, if you're actually an escaped convict or a documented sociopath, then I'm afraid that you'll be out of luck! That said, I'm gonna take a guess, and presume that you're a "good citizen."
