Sen. Ben Sasse delivers a civics lesson.

Wow! This guy gets it! If you havent watched this clip, do so. You'll see a real-life "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." We need a BUNCH more like him, at ALL levels of government.

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

It just occurred to me...

Will "Beto" even be on the ballot? I mean, that's just a nickname, right? Won't a ballot be required to have his legal name on it?

How many people who intend to vote for "Beto" will go into the voting booth and say: "Who's this O'Rourke guy? And where's Beto?!"

Re: ANTHONY KENNEDY IS RETIRING!

Old fashioned piling on. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh faced a storm of new sexual misconduct allegations Sunday after attorney Michael Avenatti said he had knowledge that Kavanaugh and high school friend Mark Judge targeted women with drugs and alcohol in order to "allow a 'train' of men to...

Re: Carry in Texas polling place? it depends

I'll admit, I'm conflicted about this. Living in a rural area, with little or no or delayed police response, I understand the situation that brought about this action. So I'm glad that SOMEone MAY be able to carry a firearm in a polling place in case the need ever arises. That's the good news. On th...

Guns Allowed in Texas Polling Places

Ok. Allowed for SOME people in SOME polling places. Election workers who run polling places now have the state's blessing to carry guns there. In an opinion released Tuesday, Attorney General Ken Paxton said so-called election judges who are licensed to carry a firearm can do so during the performan...

Ah, ok. I missed that. Thanks.

But even at that, I can see a lawsuit coming over at least some of those restrictions; especially the banning of face coverings. Might be interesting.

Bullying? Mean? Evil? What?

Just browsing through the news today and keep seeing stuff like this. And this isn't from the "Crimes" page or anything like that, it's just there in the general news, from a single news website, without even searching for this kind of stuff: A Minnesota man was arrested after picking up an 8-year-o...

Re: Church Security Team help!!

I volunteer in our (very) small church's informal security team. I'm not sure how (or if) our team members would be covered by our church's insurance policy if there ever were any kind of incident (yes, I definitely need to check into that). But, I do know that representatives of the self-defense in...
