Re: Everytown Files Lawsuit Over Texas 30.06/30.07 signs for being "burdensome"

In this short thread, there have already been a number of simple, clear, logical rebuttals to the "reasoning" behind this lawsuit. Unfortunately, simplicity, clarity, and well reasoned logic seem to have very little to do with anything quite often these days, whether between individuals, or when han...

Portland rioter gets hit with friendly molitov cocktail.
Hmmm. So, will he be able to file for workman's comp for that on-the-job injury? :headscratch

Re: anyone still carry a 1911?

Yes. That is, if you count a baby 1911, then I do. Colt Defender Lightweight (officer size, aluminum frame), plus one extra mag. I just prefer the .45 ACP over the 9mm. And the officer frame 1911 carries and conceals very nicely for me. Very comfortable and perfectly happy with my little baby boy, b...

Re: I Learn Something New Every Day

This very limited background info on the Oliver v. United States SCOTUS decision referenced in the article above found on Wikipedia: Acting upon a tip that defendant was growing marijuana on his property, two Kentucky State Police officers drove onto defendant's land, past his house, up to a gate wh...

I Learn Something New Every Day

Maybe some of you knew about this practice already; I did not. I just learned about it from this article (linked at the bottom). I have not researched it, so I don't know how accurate it is. But the way many of the courts have been for the last 50 years or more, it sounds about right. :banghead: So,...

Re: AMMO. Buying, selling or nothing

Me, I'm buying. Oh, I'm very well stocked for my needs. But I'm still buying. Yes, it is hard to find. And yes, it is way too expensive when I do find it. But I'm still buying. So with all that, then why buy now? Because I think it is very possible that six months or a year from now we look back on ...

Re: Let’s talk .22 pistols

I love my little TX22. My first and only Taurus. I bought it last fall. Only put a couple of hundred rounds through it so far, but no issues. I personally don't shoot .22 very much, but bought this one specifically to use to train my grandkids to shoot. Seems to be well suited for that.

Re: MO: St. Louis Lawyers Defend Mansion From BLM Protesters In Viral Video

I haven't read this entire thread, so pardon me if something like this has already been asked. But I've been thinking about a hypothetical situation. Serious question; I'd like to know your thoughts. Consider if you were in a similar situation as these homeowners; that is, with you standing at the f...

Supremes Say NYC Gun Law is Moot

I know there's a lot going on in the world today, but I really expected to see this topic posted and being discussed by now. Did I miss something? Am I behind the curve (again) on the news? :confused5 I know there was some discussion that it could (probably would?) be declared moot since the law was...

Glad you got it fixed. That certainly ad to be a great relief! And good information for us to keep in the back of our minds. :clapping: But, at the same time, you're telling me that all I have to do to open someone else's electronic combo gun safe is just take my own keypad with my own combination w...

Re: Winchester Gun Safe not working

Did you try putting a new battery? Has to be one that still has a few years left on expiration date and either Duracell or energizer. I had a similar issue and tried several other "new" batteries from other brands and couldn't get safe to open. Brand new Duracell fixed problem right away. Actually ...

Re: Glock 44 - .22 LR pistol

While I'm not a Glock guy, I also have nothing against them. This one looks like a fine little pistol from what I can tell. But, if you're in the market for something like this, and it doesn't have to be a Glock, you might consider the Taurus TX22. I bought one (the TX22) a couple of weeks ago while...
