Re: Knife Sharpeners

Be careful with those work sharps. Yes they are decent but you will chew up a blade quick. Also if your not careful you will really round off your tip. I had one for a week and sold it. I use the spyderco sharp maker and a double sided strop with bark river black compound on one side and green polis...

Re: Nominate a 357 target shooter

This will upset some but Ruger makes the nicer factory revolver these days. And they are still overbuilt and can handle anything. The new S&W revolvers have the key lock which I just can’t get over. The performance center S&W revolvers are the nicest factory custom tho. If you can find a non key loc...

Re: Paint Removal

Possibly acetone but I fear a lot of it would hurt the plastic. I did recently strip spray paint off a 22 rifle with it and it didn’t hurt it. I was careful to wipe it quickly. It took some time but it came off

Re: Student with filthy Glock

it Blows my mind that people buy into the thought process that Glocks don’t need to be cleaned. I have made it a habit to clean the gun after every range session. From 1-100 rounds it’s going to get cleaned regardless of round count. I was taught to take care of my tools and they will take care of m...

Re: Need your wisdom - DL etched on gun

In my opinion, leave the gun alone and keep it. Or give it to someone in your family that would use it. I would seriously leave it alone. Engraving a gun is like stippling a plastic pistol. Once you do it no matter how good it looks, unless the buyer specifically asks for it, you will always get les...

What’s old is new again...

I have noticed a major resurgence in 9mm. The 9mm has resurfaced with vengeance and rightfully so. I believe that the 9mm in +p loadings is incredibly effective. It doesn’t produce as much wear on the firearm and doesn’t run as hot as some other calibers. It’s cheaper to shoot, effective, and probab...

Re: CONCEALED CARRY IWB HOLTERS

Howdy and welcome. The crossbreed and alien gear style are very comfortable but the big drawback for me was they take up sooo much room in your pants. They do spread out the weight of the firearm well but you will most definitely need two sizes large In your pants if you want it to be as comfortable...

Re: I stippled my shield

Thank you. It has taken me a while. I practiced on Magpul pmags before I ever did my first gun. Tha way if it looked junky oh well it’s just a 7$ pmag and I don’t care about their appearance

Re: I stippled my shield

Lol. Thanks! I was able to get this gun 50$ cheaper than the new version and I knew I was goin to have to stipple it. So all I have in it is time. This pattern took me about and hour and a half to do and get everything finished. I decided against index stippling for my pointer fingers because I did ...

Re: I stippled my shield

I use a soldering iron. I will take a picture of it when I get home and post it. Instead of poking it straight down making dots I touched it at about a 45 degree angle and do it in different directions to make it a random pattern instead of uniform. With the random placement you get more of an aggre...

Re: I stippled my shield

Thank you. I like this pattern over the standard dot pattern. It has made a huge difference
