Re: Made my first kydex revolver holster
Thank you for all of the kind words. I know I could have prob polished it and really made it shine but I like he kind of dull look. Plus what does a polished iwb Kydex holster achieve? It’s gonna get polished by you wearing it and it doesnt help any function.

Re: Made my first kydex revolver holster
Thanks! I don’t think I will buy any more iwb holsters anymore. I am thinking about tying to make a hybrid owb holster. I like the idea of leather backing for comfort and Kydex shell for protection. If I do I’ll make sure to post pics.

Re: Made my first kydex revolver holster
About 2 hours is what it took me. I think once someone gets the pattern and the bugs ironed out I think one could be completed in less time.

Made my first kydex revolver holster
I got sick and tired of trying to find the right holster for my S&W 642 so I decided to try and make one. I wanted 4 things. Kydex, built in sweat guard, retention screws, and pull the dot soft loops. I’m sure I could have custom ordered one that way but it would have cost more than I than I wanted to pay. So I came up with this design and it works great. I set the Can’t of the holster to more of a 45 degree angle so it conceals great and you can get a full firing grip on the gun when drawing. It rides high and tight and is as comfortable as Kydex can be. What do y’all think?
