Re: i want an AK underfolder

Are y’all referring to the Century WASR 10? This may be a dumb question but I’m dumb when it comes to AKs.

Re: Shooting In Abilene

While it does appear that someone was out right murdered, no one besides the four people that were there know what happened/events leading up. I think we can learn a great lesson right here about “pulling your weapon.” I see people on here talk about when they need to display their weapon, or that t...

Re: Glock 21 (.45 cal.) Own One?

Used to have one, identical to every other glock. Boringly reliable, big, bulky, decent shooter. If you like shooting .45 it’s nice to not have to reload as often. Wouldn’t ever carry it simply due to size.

Re: Prayer for my grand daughter to pick right school

If she has any intention of attending vet school it will be slightly easier to get into a school where she completed an undergrad degree. Although if she is being offered full academic scholarships, she probably won't have much of an issue getting into vet school. best of luck!

Re: Private sale safety

I traded some guns in a Walmart parking lot with a member on here. Very smooth, painless, and confortable. We both had LTC’s so nothing to worry about. I brought a friend with me just in case. Police Station is a great bet as well. Be careful regardless!

Will there ever be a day when you can read a news article without being redirected 371815 times to a spam ad? It took me 30 minutes plus to get through this article. Nonetheless, great article.

I don’t buy any firearm related stuff from them, but have gotten most of my UA stuff there. Since they announced this new policy I’ve been getting more things from Academy instead.
Academy isn’t far off from dicks unfortunately.

Re: new rifle selection choices

I’d stay away from the newer remingtons. Bergara is supposed to guarantee 1moa or better. I was really impressed by Kimber’s line of rifles. Ruger is one of my favorite weapons manufacturers as well. The TC rifles are supposed to be pretty great, but I don’t have any personal experience with them th...

Re: Draw to Help a Firefighter?

Let me see, firefighters call in an emergency help request a civillian decides to draw his gun to "protect" them. The cops roll up and the first thing they see is a person with a gun, sounds like a good way to get shot. How could anybody reasonably think that the cops would know who the bad guy act...

Re: Thoughts on open carry

With my handgun concealed, I have the option to engage or not, as I see fit depending upon the circumstances. I carry owb but concealed 99.99% of the time, mainly for the reason I quoted Charles. Just because you are in a situation where you CAN, use your gun, does not mean you SHOULD use your gun....

Re: Person hit by gunshot at Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville has died

I used to work at a gun range, and our policy on renting was that you either had to bring a friend, or bring a weapon of your own. Apparently as stated before it’s a fairly common problem. I was fortunate enough to never have to experience it.
