Re: AMAZING! Las Vegas shootout while driving

I would take exception to the statement concerning bullet travel. You are not going through a vertical sheet of plate, tempered or laminated glass ( there is also a different among of deflection in the three types). The Officer was shooting through a sheet of non vertcle laminated glass while trying...

Re: AMAZING! Las Vegas shootout while driving

I have a large problem with the Officer not breaking off pursuit and putting the general public at risk of a stay bullet from the perps. The situation is made all the worse when the Officer fires from a moving vehicle and sends bullets who knows where. Show very little concern for safety of innocent...

Re: RDR Holsters

https://www.rdrholsters.com/ very good service. I think I paid $47.00 with shipping. Colion Noir has a good review of them. That is how I came across them.

Re: RDR Holsters

Ordered holster evening of 7/9/18. Jeff called to customize my order 7/13/18. Holster was manufactured 7/13/18 and shipped the same day. Received my holster by USPS today at 10:30 AM. I can see why Colin Noir says this is his favorite holster. .08 kydex, rounded and debuted edges, good retention , t...

RDR Holsters

I ordered an RDR Holster. I just received a call from Jeff of RDI. He was knowledgeable about the different variants of my pistol. He asked how I carried the pistol ( cocked and locked) , asked if the safety was an ambi or just strong side and we discussed 3 options for me to choose from. He gave me...

Re: Solar Power

I have looked into this as a way to get off the grid. From what I have discovered, if you want to get off the grid, solar, wind, and batteries are needed. To run a normal home, expect to spend $100k. On top of that, you have to replace and maintain the batteries and if you want the best performance...

Re: Solar Power

My neighbor put his farm totally on solar. Cost- 60,000.00 dollars. With Fed and State rebates ( now expired) cost to him- 29,000.00. He has a farm house, workers single wide trailer, shop and one hay barn. Also, locally, the Electric Co. was going to charge folks who utilized solar power. That prop...

Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

I received my CHL in 2009. My instructor was adiment that the law was just changed and a CHL was no longer required to be shown when you presented your ID. He also stated we did not have to show an ID unless we were being arrested. I went through two fairly serious stops and never revealed I was CCi...

Re: If Cops Won't, then Give Me a Chance

I found it interesting that the OP found an ex Police Officer that was willing to admit that Police Officers are just Civilians with guns. I have known a lot of POs in the past and that was definitely their opinion.

Re: My 1911 is in the stable!

I know my Springfield 1911 is not a "high-end" 1911 so I looked at some higher-end Kimbers and Smith and Wesson Performance---and promptly went into sticker shock. I think I will follow flechero's advice and figure out how to "tune" my extractor. However, I looked over on Youtube and saw one guy wi...

I found it interesting that some of the would be combatants were exhibiting some of the behaviors which were pointed out as potentially aggressive behaviors
as discribed in a video in another post on this forum.

Re: Brass/steel/aluminum ammo. Pros and cons of each?

If you reload, pull the bullets. burn the powder and toss the casings. You could pop the primers in a vise using a hammer and nail if you are so inclined.

Re: Single Stage Press: Hornady vs RCBS?

I have two Rockchuckers and a slew of other RCBS equipment. Never have needed CS. They have been flawless. I also have a Champion which is a beast.
