Re: CRUZ and CORNYN introduce Reciprocity bill

I see this bill has been referred to the judiciary committee where Chuck Grassley is chairman. He is also a cosponsor of the bill. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/69 The House of Representatives has a bill introduced also. But the chairman of that committee in the House is J...

My dad (Pawpaw for those who don't know) always taught me, "If you find yourself in a fair fight.... You're doing it wrong." Those words and the sentiment has served me well all my life.

Re: HB 357 - Unlicensed Carry (Stickland)

So just a wild, off the wall question: If Texas implements constitutional carry (or some similar "no license required scenario") what happens to our reciprocity agreements with other states? Yin and yang folks. I like being able to carry in the several states I frequently travel to. As long as Texa...

There is no such thing as a fair fight. Unless you are in a ring and have a referee.
My Sensei used to say: "If you think you're in a fair fight, you've already lost."

Re: IL: Chicago CCL holder kills armed robber on street

Thankfully this law abiding citizen was able to be legally armed and defend herself! Bravo! If the dimocrats had their way, she would have been defenseless. I for one am glad that scumbag punk won't stick a gun in anyone else's face.

Re: TX: Defense of Property During the Nighttime?

I can't say what I would do, or what I wouldn't do. The situation would have to dictate my decisions at the time. But at night, in poor vision, the law on the use of deadly force is different than in the day time. I would not think that gives us the right to exercise poor judgement at night, but rat...

I've never had to shoot an aggressive dog, but I have had a neighbor that was a terrible person to live next to. I hope your neighbor can get past this and the incident not turn into a feud.

Re: The Reason For The Season

I fully understand the astronomical aspect, and even the celebration of the solstice from a couple of different philosophies. However "The reason for the Season" has a completely different meaning to me that is not based on the movement of the planets in the solar system. As I stated: "...in my opi...
