Re: Friend with Alzheimer's

Lock the guns up. How to approach that with your friend all depends on the stage of this horrible disease that he is in. From personal experience, I can say that it will only get worse. Having access to a firearm of any kind is a terrible danger to all the people he is around while going through thi...

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms

An appeal of this case is being heard Wednesday by a panel of judges on the 5th Circuit Ct. of Appeals. http://tpr.org/post/us-5th-circuit-set-hear-lawsuit-challenging-texas-campus-carry-law Renae Hicks, who represents UT Austin sociology professor Jennifer Glass, appealed that ruling to the U.S. 5...

Re: San Francisco Chronicle editor pretends familiarity with firearms

I doubt he ever even really bought a gun. The whole thing sounds made up to me. It wouldn't be the first time a liberal lied.

Re: How "Prepped" Are you?

I don't consider myself a prepper. I don't even think about it. But, I have my own well, and I can run the house and shop on my generator. I keep about 200 gallons of fuel on hand. As for food, my land would supply me with enough meat and fish to live forever. Vegetables are a different matter. If t...

Re: Saw another carrying, and felt very uncomfortable...

Maybe someone extremely new to carrying who hasn't soaked in good advice yet. How old? mid 20's - early 30's? No. 50's, but he also appeared to be foreign born... either Spain or South America, so maybe new to it here in Texas. Somebody should tell him in Americs it's not polite to play with your G...

Re: Sometimes there is justice in the world

I want a guard lion. My dogs are great but a lion, well, break into my house please. He's getting hungry  I had the exact same thought when reading this story! Guard lions, wow! Better than rottweilers! He added: “They came heavily armed with hunting rifles and axes which we have recovered...

Carl, Here’s what I know... Over any distance that matters, an alligator can outrun you AND me.

BUT..... I’m betting that I can outrun you, and that’s all that really matters! "rlol" :evil2:
Problem solved! "rlol" "rlol"

Re: Media called an AR-15 a semiautomatic rifle!

Most here know that the media will twist things about firearms in whatever direction they want things to go. But, then again, they can't make up their own minds about all of it, either. One minute a "killer cop" is proof that all police should be disarmed, then the next, a dedicated officer with hi...

Media called an AR-15 a semiautomatic rifle!

Tell me the media doesn't choose their words carefully and always consider the political impact of what they say. Here's a story about a deputy shooting an alligator that had a young girl cornered up a tree. In this first link on the story the reporter said: a deputy who shot the giant reptile with ...

Re: Dallas Costco Robbed Today

Not a reason to draw your sidearm. Although despicable behavior, and repulsive. If you're in Costco you left your sidearm in the car, right? Never been in a Costco. Don't know what their policy is. My statement was in general about such situations. If I had been there and had forgotten to disarm be...

I know the Bible says blessed are ye when persecuted for my names sake. But come on. This makes me angry.

Poll: Nonresident Out of State License

How many of us have obtained a nonresident out of state license? If you do, please comment on why you felt the need and which state(s) you decided to get. Maybe it was because you travel on the job, or maybe because of personal travel. I have family in New England and am considering some nonresident...

Re: Mag capacity + 1 or just what it holds

+1 Always. Never had a problem with springs. Springs break or weaken from being compressed and released too many times. Think of twisting a wire back and forth to break it. IMHO keeping them compressed does no harm.
