Re: Man (?) attacks teen in Seattle over MAGA hat

This is a powder keg. Someone who carries wears a MAGA hat. Some liberal moron attacks the man or tries to take the hat because of alleged "hate speech". Man carrying thinks he is being assaulted and shoots. They are being assaulted, at least according to Texas law. Sec. 9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFEN...

Re: Man (?) attacks teen in Seattle over MAGA hat

When we allow speech to be labelled "violent," said speech will be responded to using violence. We warned them, but people didn't listen. Now we see the assaults begin - after all, they are only defending themselves against violent speech. It won't be long before it escalates again. Right now it is ...

Re: Dallas Costco Robbed Today

In reference to carrying in Costco, other members are correct: their membership agreement prohibits guns, but not in such away that meets the legal requirement set out in 30.06 or 30.07. Therefore, if you carry in Costco and they catch you they can revoke your membership, but cannot charge you with ...

I'm impressed that the company was willing to admit their error, and change.

:woohoo
So was I, especially since the person I spoke to lived in California and Nevada for most of their life! It speaks a lot to both that person's character and the ethics of the company.

Got My Employer to Change New Employee Training for Texas Locations

During orientation for the company I am now working at, the zero tolerance policy for weapons was discussed. During this presentation it was stated that the possession, transfer, use, or display of any firearm anywhere on company property (specifically to include parking lots) would result in immedi...

Re: CHL holder attempts to stop fatal hit & run.

Several thoughts: Penal Code 9.42 gives you the authority to shoot someone following the commission of various theft crimes if they are fleeing with your property. The act is over and they are fleeing with your stuff, but you can kill 'em. I understand that this does not give LEGAL right to use this...

Re: CHL holder attempts to stop fatal hit & run.

"Sandoval said he saw the man calmly getting out of his vehicle to see the woman's body stuck under the car before the man drove off." So the car was being driven away as the two LTH holders started shooting at him ... Doesn't seem like a good choice on their part... They better get ready for a big...

Re: Any Recourse Against Sneaky Tax Raise?

Yes I'm going to go through the appeals process, but I'm worried that A) I'll have to do that every year and be a costly inconvenience to me, and B) it doesn't address the much larger concern of seemingly across-the-board increases; that sounds like an unlawful abuse of power, and there should be so...

Any Recourse Against Sneaky Tax Raise?

I just got my county tax appraisal for my home and the appraised value had jumped by 10.5% since last year. I haven't done anything to my home in that time, so I was justifiably appalled. I took to Facebook and asked the town if anyone else had this happen, and the response was overwhelming - some h...
