Re: Medical Facilities

Wait, I'm confused. How does being on government property factor into the validity of the signage? I thought the AG opinion RE: Dallas Zoo basically said that private entities operating on government property have the authority to post valid signs. Am I missing something? The opinion was very caref...

Re: Medical Facilities

In my experience, virtually any healthcare or medical related facility will be posted. Doctors have to have enough individual variety that this isn't a coincidence. There must be some mandate somewhere. Does anyone know where? Well, sort of. There is a requirement in Government Code section 411.204...

Re: Medical Facilities

Every hospital, urgent care facility, and drug testing facility I've ever seen in Texas is posted 06 and 07. Every doctor's office, dentist office, and specialty clinic I've visited except for one was not posted. YMMV

Re: Do not shoot truck rustlers

I notice it said he was taken into custody but no charges yet. Could be they just need to conduct an investigation. Questions that could need answering before deciding to let the guy loose could include: 1. Was the guy carrying legally? 2. Was it actually his truck being stolen? 3. Did the woman go ...

I was always taught that in situations like this "if you can't say nothin' nice, don't say nothin' at all."

Re: Growing Demand for CHL On The Rise

permit holders are convicted of misdemeanor and felonies at one-sixth the rate at which police officers are convicted." You hear a statistic like this pretty often, and I don't doubt that it's true. But today, it occurred to me to wonder, why it is the case? It's easy to understand that permit hold...

Re: Gun free zone question

This thread is very close to violating Rule 4, but 1) since it is stated as a hypothetical; and 2) it offers an excellent learning opportunity, it will stay open. That said, folks responding need to be sure their post(s) don't advocate violating Texas law. If a location is off-limits per TPC §46.03...

Re: Dallas County Sheriff's office looking for gun issued to Texas governor candidate Lupe Valdez

Somehow I doubt that any of Governor Abbott's firearms are missing. And yes, I do think that being able to keep track of one's firearms is indicative of one's ability to run the great state of Texas. :txflag: On point brother. I got a speech by some yahoo on a Texas firearms forum that claimed if s...
