Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

I wasn't trying to solve the violence problem, just trying to satiate the calls for UBC's in a way that is no worse than what exists today. When an FFL runs a NICS check, is a record kept by the FBI? If we pass a law declaring that record must be deleted, I'd say we gained something. 4473 remains u...

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

This disappoints me but I did have an idea in my head about this whole background check "we have to do something" thing. What if instead of mandatory background checks between private persons, they were simply incentivised similar to what was recently done with 30.06 signs where there are liability...

Where did you pick up a 21" S & W? Bricks and mortar, or over the web?

Price, I'm guessing, was about $49.99?

SIA
39.99 at Academy. It was the last one in the Plano store on 75.

Re: Collapsible Baton-Legal to Carry in Texas

Yeah, I picked up a monadnock used to try it out. Better than having nothing in certain scenarios. My only previous definition for "monadnock" was Mount Monadnock in southern New Hampshire. A monadnock is a prominent hill sitting above a plain, and its granite resisted it being ground down by glaci...

Re: Joe Strauss wants special session for gun control

A rated I have been harping on this for a long time. The rating given to these folks means nothing because the organization giving it apparently hands them out like candy and doesn’t do it’s due diligence. This is one of the problem areas that needs to be addressed. No way should Straus have earned...

Re: Speaker Bonnen Appoints 13 Members to House Select Committee

Bonnen screws Texas gun-owners again. The Bonnen Committee consists of: A-Rated Republicans = 7 D-Rated Democrats = 4 (Two should be rated F; i.e. Nevarez and Moody.) F-Rated Democrats = 2 Be sure to let your Representatives know how you feel about Bonnen. BTW Dennis, the NRA is not a fringe organi...
