Re: What Would You Do To Help

I would have no reason to go to the theater in that mall. It is an AMC theater posted 30.06/30.07, and therefore is not welcoming to me or my friends/family. Therefore I would not have been there after the mall closed. That being said, I have not found a reason for me personally to go to a mall in a...

Re: Priorities for 2019 legislative session

Simply requiring a business to assume liability in the event they prohibit licensees from carrying lawfully should solve the issue of insurance. If there is more liability on the business (and therefore on the insurance company) for prohibiting licensed carry, costs will reflect that. You may even h...

Re: We had a house fire; address question.

I would argue that your house is still your residence, even if you do not reside there for the moment. You still collect your mail there, you likely still have a homestead exemption on it. It is currently uninhabitable right now. Once that is corrected, you plan to resume occupying it. However, IANAL.

WA: Civilian shoots, kills gunman in Tumwater Walmart shooting

http://q13fox.com/2018/06/17/reported-shooting-at-walmart-in-tumwater/ Adams calls the armed civilian a hero. "He is a hero," Adams said. "He took action. I really think more people could have been shot... he saved us all." Pro 2a point of view: Good guy with gun stopped bad guy with gun. Anti-2a p...

Re: Someone push me...

A. When do all these nets become self-aware? B. I know the sky is the limit, but how hard is this on a wallet, for someone on a fixed income who doesn’t want to blow thousands on it. I’m talking a basic setup.... enough to get started. You can buy a HT (handy talkie) for $30 quite easily. Is a $30 ...

Re: Someone push me...

It sure makes my new "free" car license plate easy to remember, I can remember my name after two Whiskeys ( I don't drink, but it's funny) Apparently, you can get multiple license plates with your call sign too if you have more than one car, and get them for trailers too, I have a flatbed and a boa...

Re: Someone push me...

My interest in HAM comes from a number of factors. First is the weather, I'm about an hour south of Lubbock so Tornadoes are less than common, but not rare either. Hail, high winds, and more are more common weather threats. The second reason is Offroading in my Jeep, While most events has everyone ...

Re: Someone push me...

I went thru skywarn earlier this year. While this storm season has been mild compared to others in the past, it' has been fun to show my friends who don't have their ham ticket (yet) what amateur radio operators contribute during severe weather. I remember being out front of SkullCop's house when we...

I used www.hamstudy.org at someone's suggestion last year. Took my tech after studying for 2 days and I think I may have missed 2 questions. A week later (field day 2017) I passed general after studying for 3 days. Another week later, I took extra and passed. Very handy site!

"Though many are too young to vote, they plan to shape the election."

Do you think maybe there's a reason that the voting age is what it is?
Voting age used to be 21, it is now 18. That being said, I do NOT advocate lowering it further.

Re: Parkland survivor David Hogg

I will be the first to give those kids props if they can convince all the gang bangers to turn in their weapons and change their ways. The crime rate would drop faster than CNNs ratings! I do not think it is a likely outcome though.
