Re: Now We Have a Snow White Problem.

I don't think that it's necessary to be democrat to oppose Trump. Barry Goldwater would've excoriated the man daily were he still with us.

Re: Turkey: Saudi journalist last seen at Saudi consulate in Turkey

MBS is a murdering scumbag straight out of Game of Thrones who is fighting for control of a kingdom that IS (not "related to", not "supported by", not "intertwined with", but IS) Radical Islam. Whether SA is actually guilty of this particular crime has no bearing on their overwhelming guilt in a mul...

Re: Harvard (!) Study Finds Inverse Relationship Between Rates of Private Gun Ownership and Rates of Crime

This isn't new. The Kellerman study, the source of the notorious "a gun in the home is 20x more likely to kill someone in the home than an intruder" claim, also found that a rifle or shotgun in the home reduced the risk of murder for the occupants (while finding that a handgun raised it). The big i...

Re: Radical New Pistol Design - Need Some Help

I think the idea in the H9 is sound. Forgotten Weapons on Youtube has a great interview between Ian and the founder where they show and take down all of the prototypes. I get the sense that it's still a work in progress, and that it may one day be the progenitor of whole generations of guns like the...

I shoot a .380 and a 357 Sig. In my view, a hot .380 with a 115 grain bullet from a 3.5" barrel provide the minimum amount of terminal performance needed. A 357 Sig with a 147 grain bullet and a 5.5" barrel provides as much ooomph as you'd need for anything smaller than a bear (at least at pistol ra...

Hillary Clinton was a staunch Goldwater Republican who joined politics because she was angry about Daley stealing Nixon's votes on behalf of JFK.

Then, you know, other stuff happened....

Re: ‘But, Kavanaugh!’ NeverTrump’s Awakening

I find Trump to be a despicable human being whose absolute best is to be a)not HRC and b) do a few good things. His trade deals have been needed for years, and will pay dividends. I worry that despite that, larger forces at work in the economy will trigger a large correction soon and that Trump's r...

Re: 364 guns stolen in Memphis intercepted on way to Chicago

I assume a stolen .380 could fetch $500 (That's retail for an LCP, I think) from a gangbanger who has no other option. If the .22s fetch half of that and the guns were half of each type, then you're looking at $135k minus expenses. Not a life changing score, but enough to make an idiot take foolish...

The lack of muzzle discipline that those unfamiliar with guns can display is stunning to people who grew up with firearms.

How many interns haul off and do something like this without approval from the boss? How many would do so under a boss has a reputation even among Congresspeople as being unusually temperamental and vicious toward her staff?
