Re: Anyone Keeping Up With Loretta Lynch's Latest?

lfinsr,

I looked at the link you provided.

If it's true, then yes, debtors prison as outlined in the link, is straight out of Dickens and to be fought against. Again, if true, no fair person would support this nonsense.

If her target is solely debtors prison shenanigans, then yes, she does have a very valid point, but given no specifics in the N.Y. Post article as to what low level or minor crime defines as, I'd like to know a lot more before I say yes, right on Sister. You go get em girl!

Right now, I can only speculate that there are other unspecified "crimes" she wants semi-forgiven...ones I very well may say: "Are you kidding me"?

Re: Anyone Keeping Up With Loretta Lynch's Latest?

I know you can legally get your name changed, so I ask: Can I change my race and financial status to indigent African-American?

I want to shrug off all the lower level and minor crimes I may commit if only I can change my race/financial status.

Us po folk, who're discriminated against when we break the law be needin jes-tice.

Anyone Keeping Up With Loretta Lynch's Latest?

AG Loretta Lynch wants to let nation break law without consequences
New York Post‎ - 5 hours ago

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has issued a warning to municipal and state judges across the country that their courts could lose federal funding if they don’t ease up on fines and arrest warrants for minor crimes involving poor offenders, indigent minorities in particular.

In lieu of fines and jail time, Lynch urges the nation’s 6,500 municipal courts to provide an avenue for offenders to perform “community service” or take advantage of “amnesty days,” whereby outstanding arrest warrants are cleared for nominal fees.

Failure to comply with these policies could trigger a Ferguson-style discrimination investigation. Already, Lynch says she’s “evaluating discrimination complaints against several court systems.”

A strongly worded “guidance” letter, written by her civil-rights team, warns that a local court policy of enforcing warrants for failure to pay court fines and fees can have an adverse “disparate impact” on African-Americans, who are fined and/or arrested for outstanding warrants at “disproportionate” rates versus whites. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has issued a warning to municipal and state judges across ...

The above is what I could cut and paste what I could from "The New York Post". From what I read there's no definition for low level or minor crimes separate laws for African-Americans

Look it up and read the whole thing - It's Orwellian

So, I as a white person will have to continue to obey so-called "low-level" or minor crime laws, but African-Americans won't?

Or, do I misunderstand?
