Got my CHL in 4 weeks 5 days. WOO!

So I moved recently and my new driver's license didn't arrive in time for the CHL class (bad idea on my part to go ahead and take the course without the new one, i know). Does it matter? If all the paperwork is squared away and the new DL is coming in the mail are they going to stop the application ...

I've heard that the DPS keeps you posted on where your application is during the process of giving you your CHL. Anyone know if this is true and where i can find the site? I've tried google a number of times with no such luck.

Thank you for all the welcomes and good advice so far. Just for the record, i believe the 1911 is one of the absolute greatest weapon designs ever, my only qualm was the exterior hammer and i used the 1911 as an example - not a personal affront against that weapon.
