Re: TX: Neighbor shoots burglar at southeast Houston home, police say

Hope the best for the good Samaritan. Usually not good when shooting suspect in the back, and over property. But maybe with a good defense, he can play the angle of questioning if the girls inside had been assaulted or not. Several years ago a guy in Pasadena Texas shot a criminal that was trying t...

Re: Fentanyl laced flyers posted on HCSO vehicle

When I first heard this story I knew it was bull. Even though fentanyl is made to be absorbed through the skin there was no way he got an overdose amount just from touching a flyer. More than likely the cop is either addicted to pain pills or something and got some of the fentanyl laced pain pills ...

Re: Proficiency Test

Have you called them to ask? I ended up having to call them on a couple different things and they were always very helpful. Usually if it shows something being incomplete it's because they have yet to actually file that part of the application period after a while of not seeing any progress on my ap...

Re: Talon grip tape

They sent me a fresh one, which I applied after thoroughly wiping down the grip with alcohol and heated it more than I had the first one. It seems to have adhered better, but we will see after a couple months.

Re: Any cigar smokers?

my internal medicine guy wore me down by repeating all the business about greater risk of mouth, throat, esophageal, etc. cancer from smoking cigars. Sorta took the fun out of it. My doc likes cigars/drinking - he put it this way: "You've got to live a little!" I asked him to write a prescription f...

Re: Any cigar smokers?

I was an avid cigar smoker for years. My favorite: The regular line - Padron Maduro 2000/3000 and on occasion 4000. The 'Smoke Ring' in Webster...excellent, cigar choices and people. I know (or used to) everyone who were customers. At that point, I smoked at least 3 to 5 cigars a day. Every day. Th...

Re: Any cigar smokers?

I have been thinking about maybe picking one up for the 4th of July. I smoke cigarettes daily but a stogie is a little bit different. I don't have much knowledge really other than the ones handed out at my buddy's wedding or just if somebody offers me one. There is a cigar shop local to me down the ...

Any cigar smokers?

So I have of late been interested in trying out some cigars. One of my favorite YouTubers to watch did a entire video with Dennis Prager over cigars. And I was wondering if there was any cigar smokers Among Us here.

Re: New GUY! How long for app status update?

The whole process for me was surprisingly quick, it took 5 business days or 1 week to get status check marks, and then another week to go from pending to mailed. So all told it was about 11 business days or just over two weeks.

Will be praying for success in finding employment very soon. I've been on unemployment 1 time over th...

Questions on eligibility

So I have my CHL and it has prompted a friend of mine to attempt to get his. The only issue he is worried about is apparently he was diagnosed as bipolar when he was a minor. He is 27 years old now, and never read diagnosed as an adult. I know there are eligibility disqualifiers for a diagnosis of b...

Re: Prayers?

I appreciate your words Abraham. I'm hoping here before too long this opportunity with the plant will come to fruition. That would be the best thing I can hope for at this point in time because it will essentially set me up in a position that I can hang onto for the rest of my working adult life. I ...
