Re: Alcohol and self defense

In real life practicality. Would you appear intoxicated to the responding officers? You have the right to remain silent. If you have just a slight buzz from one or two drinks and it's a good shoot the issue might never come up. If you're staggering, have slurred speech or reek of alcohol. Your like...

I dunno', but I'm sure your definition of "slightly intoxicated" would come into question at some point. :leaving

Alcohol and self defense

Many of the questions and threads that I post here and on Reddit usually start with something that has piqued curiosity. That being said. I generally dislike the what if, or scenario questions, just figured I would ask anyway. I'm not a drinker really, rare is the occasion that I get drunk, usually ...

Re: Getting into ARs

I appreciate all the feedback fellas. I fully intend on building a better AR down the line, like i said initially i just want something decent to muck around with, probably pass down to my kids eventually. He is selling me this rifle at $500, but it comes fully kitted out, has all magpul furniture, ...

Getting into ARs

I am completely on educated when it comes to AR-15 rifles. A buddy of mine is selling off his stock of ARs and I am going to pick one up off of him just to get to know the platform and play around with. He has a Del-ton with quite a few aftermarket things on it like Magpul furniture and some sort of...

Re: Invasive Solution To Gun Control

That's insane! With the way these fools throw the term "hate speech" around, there is very few who would be able to pass these checks. Ofcourse I understand that is the point, these people have gone completely bonkers. I feel like ultimately there will just be a total and complete separation of the ...

Re: Aftermarket sights

I'm going to once I get home and get her all cleaned up, I wonder why S&W didnt design the slide where the screw actually screws into the metal of ththe slide. Even 2 threads into the steel would suffice, AND make it impossible to misalign the rear sight. From what I can tell there is plenty of mate...

Calling all 1st gen m&p fs/c owners

I carry a 9C first generation as my concealed. Something I noticed even when I first bought it and ever since is that the slide release does not actually release the slide, in effect it is more a slide stop than a release. You have to hold down on the lever and pull on the slide to get it to go into...

Aftermarket sights

I suppose this could apply to any handgun but I am specifically talking about my gun the M&P 9C. I have been carrying the gun for about 4 or 5 months, and recently decided to start changing this and that adding some Stuff Etc. I personalized in a little bit with a laser engraved rear slide plate, I ...

Just voted 5 minute wait, beetoo had a Mexican band across the street playing Mexican music.
5 minute weight would have been nice. I stood in line for an hour and 5 minutes. Look like the rest of Clear Lake residents all had the same idea I did.

Re: Are you voting in the 2018 Midterms?

I'm at my polling place now. Got off work early, and did NOT expect a half mile long line. Or the amount of beto shirts I've already seen. They're out to screw up your state! Get out and VOTE Did you see BETO shirts at the polling place? I was going to wear my MAGA hat buy I thought that political ...

Re: Changing rear m&p sights

A friend of mine has done a lot of gun smithing over the years, he happened to have a B&J machine p500 sight tool. Made it exceptionally easy, even keeping the little spring and plunger in place till I was ready to put the new sights on. I used a little micro ruler to try and get the center of the s...
