Re: open carry
I have looked at that site and am a little concerned. They appear to be lobbying for "Open Carry" no permit required. I am not so sure about open carry and no training and/or qualification process. I am currently working on a project in Indiana where open carry is permitted (with a permit)...

Re: Mental Health and CHL
As expected all good info and advice. I will discuss with my mother in law the possibility of contacting DPS about the drivers license. As some of the post mentioned we are all worried that the individual that he decides is instigating these efforts will be the anti-christ. If it is me I might as we...

Mental Health and CHL
I have been a member for a short time, but have certainly come to trust the opinions that I read on this forum. My problem is this. My Father in Law has a family history of mental healh issues. The entire family has noticed that during the past 6-7 years his ability to deal with reality has simply g...

Re: Mandatory Instruction
I hate to bring this up, however being a former LEO (while living in Colorado) I have witnessed pour shooting and gun handling at that level, but that is probably for another topic. I hope the majority of instructors here in our great state have the common since when to DQ someone and possibly direc...

If you are going to drink do not carry. When you signed up and got the permit you assumed much more responsibility than just strapping on a firearm. What happens if you are required to use that weapon. The question is not am I legal to carry. The question is are you in FULL control of your EMOTIONS ...

I would like to thank those that reaponded to my original post. I got the information that I was seeking, and feel much more confident about how I am operating here in Indiana. Good sense as always had me following the laws without really knowing them. Sorry it created a little controversy in the pr...

You are correct Liberty, I had planned to type If OC was legal in Texas I would certainly see it. (Bad Mourning at Work) There is a little that goes on in some areas I have been in but chaulk it up to the Good Ol Boys. Thanks to Zero G. Your brothers information explains what I suspected. I did find...

I know that if I were in Texas, in a rural area around a bunch of farmers I would see some OC. That is what is making me a little nervous. It is hard to get a read on the attitude here. Do know this, I did my homework and know were not to carry, and I am always concealed. I do not think my Texas CHL...

Confused in Indiana
The job keeps me traveling and for the most part long term travel. I am currently in Indiana and have been since last February. There is a different permit here that once you have the unlimited permit you may carry concealed or open. I have not witnessed a single open carry since I arrived outside o...

I have really enjoyed reading some of the post along with the reply's in this forum and have decided to join. The signage questions and answers have always been a favorite and this particular one is what prompted me to sign up. An improperly posted 30.06 sign would be defense for not seeing it. Once...
