Hi guys
My job requires me to verify IDs before releasing personal information to customers. In the last few weeks, I've had quite a few people hand over their drivers license AND their CHL. I'm happy to see so many people with a CHL, but I'm surprised that many people don't keep it as private as I ...

Re: Most comfortable position full size 1911 inside pants ??
4 o'clock IWB. For me, comfort is linked more to the holster itself than the position I wear it. You may want to try different holsters as well, before you settle on a final spot.

Re: How do YOU check your gun's reliability?
Thanks for the quick replies. yerasimos - thanks for the link. I've got an M&P.45 and a HK P2000 that haven't had one hiccup in 500-600 rounds (each). I know I can count on those but would really like to carry the Kimber if I can root out the problem.

How do YOU check your gun's reliability?
Hey guys - had a question about how you guys check your guns for reliability. I've tried to put several hundred rounds through my handguns before I count on them for self defense, and I would guess most of you do the same. My question is how do you get to that mark? Do you do a couple sessions of 50 ...

Re: Houston Area Gunsmith
I've never lubricated it in the middle of a range session. I clean it every time I shoot it and I have tried various lubrication "levels" before the session. I've moved from my normal lube level to fairly "wet" recently without a noticeable reliability change. While most of the failure to feeds ...

Houston Area Gunsmith
Hey Guys - Ive been having Failure to Feed problems with my Kimber 1911. The round will make it about halfway into the chamber and get "stuck". Happens mostly at the end of a range session when the gun is fairly dirty, but I'd expect a 1911 to go way more than 2-300 rounds before that becomes a ...

Re: IWB holster "migration"
Does it actually move, or just feel like it's moved?
Upon further review it's a little of both. I checked the belt clips' position this morning and it's right in front of the seam of my shorts. At the end of the day the clip is a little behind the seam, but feels like it's moved much more. I may ...

I don't think I've seen a Valero with bulletproof glass around the registers before. Glad they had it. Let us know if you hear any updates.

1st Weekend Report / Wally Walk (pic heavy)
Guys - got my plastic on August 1st. Lots of requests for a Wally Walk report, so here we go... I have two handguns that I bought primarily for CHL, a HK P2000SK (.40) and a S&W MP.45. I have a CTAC holster for the HK and a MTAC holster for the MP.45, both worn around 4 o'clock. I've practiced more ...

I had the same feeling. It's like leaving on a trip and wondering if you left something at home. If you used the checklist I'm sure you're fine...just a waiting game now.DallasMike73 wrote:I just hope I did everthing right. Re: Online Application Question
Instead of a date in the to field I would use "present," that's what I used and I didn't have any hang-ups. Unfortunately they aren't going to be looking at your application for a little while and might wonder where you've been since July.

IWB holster "migration"
Guys - just got my CHL today and ran a few errands. I practiced around the house with my MP .45 IWB at about 4 o'clock in a MTAC holster. That seemed to be the most comfortable and concealable spot for me. Out in the real world though, with a lot more walking around the holster moves slowly towards ...
