If I am not mistaken, that is A S&W Scandium alloy frame. The metal is mostly aluminum with Scandium added to strengthen it. Water will not bother it. The anodizing is just for looks and, since this part is covered by the grips, does not affect the gun in any way. It would not bother me. For all...

She's almost right. If you shoot a deer with an AR-15 and you have poor shot placement, you won't be able to eat it because you'll never find it. It will have run far and wide before it finally dies.

I think we can all agree that the recent attack on Israel would have ended quite differently if they had an American-Style gun culture.
