Re: WTB: NORINCO 1911
Your info on the norinco is a little out of date. Yes they were ugly and machined to wwii spec out of surprizing good steel. However they can not be legally imported anymore. Therefore the price has jumped way up, if you can find one. If you want a GI milspec gun, your best bets are the springfield ...

Re: If licensed to carry, will the Feds come get my gun?
The only defense against the government pulling something as raw as gun confiscation is instilling fear in the politicians that the people will resist. The MORE people that the government knows own guns openly, the less likely it is that the politicians will risk inciting rebellion. By getting your ...

Re: Ladies' holster options - requesting pictures
First, I am almost the steriotypical gun owner (50 something guy carrying to much weight on top of my belt) and carry a 5 inch Kimber 1911 in a comptac ctac iwb at 4:30 exclusively so I have no actual experience. I am endlessly curious and always reading and questioning how other people solve proble...

Re: Ladies' holster options - requesting pictures
I would like to suggest you consider an Appendix Inside the WaistBand holster. CorneredCat discusses using a crossdraw holster as such but Comp-Tac sells the Minotaur Neutral Cant specifically to use as an AIWB and there are others on the market. Julie Golob , a top ranked shooter and captain of Tea...

The STI Spartan can be had in the $500 range (almost) and is an excellant gun right out of the box and a good platform to start building a custom gun.

Re: IDPA Holster question
For local club matches, like the Saturday ones at TTS, PSC and impact Zone or the weekly matches at TTS, Shiloh and Impact Zone, the equipment rules are treated as "sort of guidelines" so you do not need to buy a new holster right away. It is best to use equipment that is legal for sanctio...

Re: Good Competitive 9mm ammo
I load 9mm for about $12-13 a hundred using pickup brass.
You can start reloading using a Lee deluxe turret press kit plus dies for less than $200 even adding a tumbler to clean brass.
In fact if you shoot less than 1000 rounds a month a turret press is all you need.

Re: Brass Trade
So are you looking for range pick or 1 particular headstamp? ( I would have to sort)
Do you want the brass cleaned and polished? (I would have to tumble)
What ratio? (I was thinking 200 38s for your 300 45s)
can you come to the IDPA match at PSC this Saturday to trade? (I plan on attending)

Re: To Clarify - MPA and 18 Year Olds
Yes, You can give any firearm as a gift to anyone of any age as long as they are not a prohibited person (felon, drug addict, mentally impaired etc). (I gave my son a hangun for his 15th birthday) You can not make a readily dischargable firearm available to a child less than 17 years old (with excep...
