Re: TX: Harris County judge indicted by Feds

Re: Anybody bought body armor? Thinking about it....

If you don't have it yet, it may already be too late. My recommendation for good and cheap armor and fast would be to look at bulletproofme.com. They are based out of Austin. I bought my first vest from them and I still occasionally use it. The best "bang for the buck" are their police surplus recon...

And then we have Security license applications clear in 1-2 weeks. Exact same process with the same RSD in the DPS, exact same requirements, just a different training certificate to be submitted.

Re: St. Louis Lawers (What would you have done.

My MMQB is that the only “mistake” that they made was pointing the firearms around like they did. The crowd was chanting and had broken a gate, but that would not yet justify leveling off at the whole crowd. A couple of things: first, it is just bad optics and tactics. Second, I do not believe that ...

Re: Texas Law regarding Open Carry of Firearm

The conundrums of definitions game that we play with the ATF does not translate well to Texas Law, most certainly when it comes to the “firearm” definition that you are working with. As an on duty Security Officer, or a Body Guard in uniform, we do not have the whole “must be carried in a shoulder o...

ETTS down near Maypearl. You rent a 50x50y bay and can shoot 180 and can pretty much do whatever you want in there, within reason.

Ban guns, and then killing will all cease. Oh, wait... he used a knife? You can kill people with those too?

If it was a SERPA, I would not be surprised.

They are banned on our range and for duty use in our company.

Re: House of Worship/Church Safety Meeting Problems

I am an Instructor with a security company, and one of the things that we do is security consulting for churches. We can do LTC classes for those who do not have one. We could do full armed security training if the church wanted to go official with a private letter of authority. On top of that, I am...

Re: LTC License Validation Website

I am alright with it... after all, we are allowing someone to bypass a NICS check with this card. If you are an FFL, the very least that you should do is train your employees on the security features of a Texas ID and LTC card, and then use this website to verify that an LTC is valid. I have a Power...
