To quote my LTC instructor: If you take a walk in the park, and come across a man apparently assaulting a naked woman chained to a tree, don't shoot him before finding out more information.
I think we had the same CHL Instructor. Champion Firearms is CS?

Re: Instructors that wear Body Armor

The word Armor does not have a “u” in it... at least not in America. Well no kidding Capt. Obvious, you think .maybe spell check or autocorrect did that, shame on me for not completely proof reading for the spelling nazi's and grammar police ... Thanks for not contributing to the conversation.. You...

Re: How's this idea for improving Texas firearms laws?

Texas already has a law that if a police station wishes to exclude licensed carriers that they must provide a lockbox for the handgun.

Texas Government Code 411.207 (b). Went into effect 9/1/2007.

Re: Church Security Team help!!

I sent you a PM. You have identified the three biggest problems already: no specific plan based on your site and no guidance, wearing “Security” Shirts, and any signs indicating that your church is a victim-rich environment with empty chambers being the unforgivable sin. Your guy needs to step down ...

Re: Benbrook PD Called for Gun Tshirt in Park

You have no right to “feel comfortable” anywhere. You have no special ability to “feel safe” or any other such touchy-feely nonsense. I know the park and have met the officer involved as well. This was well handled by everyone but the loudmouth busy body.

Re: Does disarming include mags?

If there are no armed guards and metal detectors, you are OK because it is not a firearm.

If there is a metal detector, they are not going to let that slide, so don’t even bother trying.

Re: NRA National Meeting May 3-6 -- Anybody Worried?

I know that I am going to a counter protest on Saturday to heckle the “March for our LIES” hipster kids. But that is what I want to do... In talking with DPD, all protest activity will be way over in front of city hall. You will be able to get in without having to wade through a sea of skinny jeans ...

Re: Video released of Oklahoma bond agent fatally shooting man

1st degree murder.... Not a chance. 3rd degree murder.... Extremely likely Manslaughter.... Definitely. I can't stand DA's that pursue their own fame and glory over justice. Should have been a third degree murder charge with a manslaughter plea deal offered IMO. Now a (apparent) murderer walks free...

... but I couldn’t tell what happened right before she shot him (he was off screen). No, no... he reached out towards her gun, the one that she already had pointed at him, not that he had a gun. Carey then pulls a gun from a desk and fires once, fatally striking Williams in the back . Carey testifi...

Re: Video released of Oklahoma bond agent fatally shooting man

The story that I read said that her statement was that he reached for the gun and that is the only reason why she fired. Her word against... no one, so she walks. the only gun i saw was the one in the hands of the murderer.. did they ever present another gun in the court room? the one he allegedly ...

Re: GFSZ Question

I have my gun on me when I drop off/pick up my kids from school on the school grounds every time. Now, during the annual carnival on those exact same school grounds, my pistol stays in the truck because there is no way that I could convince a Grand Jury that the carnival is not a school sponsored ac...

Her word against... no one, so she walks.

ETA: added clarification that he reached for her gun, not for one of his own.

Re: Age old debate: LTC Badges

OP is talking about something like this: http://www.actionjackusa.com/Images/CHL_SHIELD.png I don’t know if this is still law, but if I remember correctly around the mid 80’s or so I thought it was illegal for Security Companies to use the State Seal in their badges? Maybe someone might have more i...
