Plastic received 3 days after approval (via regular mail). I almost wonder if I wasn't actually approved earlier and the website was slow to update.

Status finally changed to active today.....this was almost like waiting for a kid to be born!

I was emailed a letter today from the Concealed Handgun Licensing Bureau. Since I live in a county impacted by Ike, my application is delayed for an unknown period of time due to the field investigation being delayed.

I'm pretty sure some June and July apps were getting approved ahead of Ike though ...

I read a post on the July Applications that the plastic is printed elsewhere and takes awhile. I'd just like mine to say something other than processing.

Wow I sent mine up in May and July applicants are getting plastic issued already......that doesn't bode well.

Still waiting as well. In looking at fender_fellas timeline, DPS got our apps the same time but his went into processing before mine....so hopefully I'm just a few days away.

Online status changed to Processing today....46 days after receipt of application.

Good point.....especially since the packet you get will not say anything about sending a copy of it in.

Dropped it in the mail today. Will update as I get info.

I just sent my packet in today. The DPS supplied envelope I had was to a PO box. I sent it registered w/ return receipt....but didn't know it didn't track PO boxes
