I believe the cartridge failed to fire. Each time after hearing a click but no bang, I ejected it and found a dent where the firing pin hit. Sometimes it was a little off center. The bullet box says Monarch .40 S&W 180 GR TOTAL METAL ...

Hi everyone! 
I've been lurking for awhile.
I have a Glock 27, my very first gun(although I've fired my dad's guns before), and I've taken it to the range once. I had several misfires, but the instruction manual says that you have to put 300-400 rounds through it before everything starts working ...
