Re: Tourture Test

Others guns are too chicken to even attempt it :evil2: Aha! Not so fast. Check out this torture test of the XD. Now, I've never shot a Glock, so I don't have anything negative to say about them. I chose the XD for fit and features. But this XD torture test article helped. http://springfield-armory....

Re: Dallas Zoo

Unless it is recently changed, there is a freestanding, ugly looking sign just inside the main entrance on the left. You have to go inside to see it. Now, if still city owned, you can carry regardless. I swear it wasn't there. I looked everywhere, and to my knowledge, I don't need glasses yet. I'll...

Re: Wife's Concerns

SHe knows incidents that have happened in the area. 2 of her students were held up at the movies (this caused me to get my permit). She is also not anti gun. Her father has guns. SHe grew up in a household that hunts and has gone hunting with me. I just think that she has lead a sheltered life and ...

Dallas Zoo

Control yourself...I'm not asking if the Dallas Zoo is posted 30.06. As a matter of fact, I'm posting to tell you that the Dallas Zoo is not posted 30.06 . I took the family there on Monday this week, and I searched high and low for a 30.06 sign, and nothing. I spent a good 15-20 minutes at the entr...

Far north (Conroe/Woodlands Area): Shooters Station off of Highway 105 Gun Emporium off of FM 2978 North (Tomball/South Spring): Spectre Firearms off of Spring Cypress Spring Guns and Ammo also off of Spring Cypress Those are probably my favorites I've been to, especially the last two. Carter's cou...

Re: Odd & Uncomfortable Situation

I won't go so far as to call this guy evil. Frankly, I don't know much of anything about him. But, according to a couple of mental health counselors who witnessed him, my wife included, this man is simply sick and needs to get back on his meds. He is likely schizophrenic, or has some other psychosis...

Re: Odd & Uncomfortable Situation

Two very good points... - Follow-up with the man's family, if they can be found. The man was clearly off his meds. - Consult with the insurance carrier for their advice. The ushers and greeters have been advised that he should not be allowed back in. I completely agree. I assume that the church boar...

Re: 4" XD .45

TAM, I carry the XD-40 4", and have had excellent performance with it. I've put at least 4,000 rounds through it, and the only problem I had was that the feed ramp had to be polished a bit to feed better. That was at around 250 rounds, and have had no problems since. If you're interested in end...

Re: Odd & Uncomfortable Situation

Well, he did show-up today, as expected. He was wearing a very baggy untucked shirt, which was an immediate red flag. There were several men that were aware of the situation, and followed him into the auditorium, and just happened to sit all around him. He had a verbal outburst about 5 minutes into ...

Re: Odd & Uncomfortable Situation

Have you/pastor considered talking with the local PD? I did suggest that to him, and he said that he's considering it. He doesn't need to consider it, he needs to DO IT! Even if this guy is harmless, they need to be aware of the issue. If he has a past history of violent behavior, then they should ...
