Re: New to CCW

Welcome to the forum. I don't live anywhere near Garland so I can't help you in that respect. In time, you will find what's comfortable to you.
Congrats on your LTC.

Re: What Shotgun and Choke for Sporting Clays

I think you will be happy with a semi-auto, but I highly recommend steering clear of those capable of chambering 3.5" shells (12-gauge). If you go with 12-gauge, choose one chambered for 2.75" and 3" shells (or just 2.75" if you're only going to use it for clays). You will probably never need to use...

Re: Should we abolish the Electoral College?

I received this email from my BIL. I did not check its accuracy. In their infinite wisdom, the United States' Founders created the Electoral College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation? The following list of s...

Re: Are gravity knives legal???

The term "Illegal knife" was removed from the Texas Penal Code--I believe it was in 2017. So, YES, gravity knives are legal in Texas. Knives (and swords) with blade length over 5.5 inches are defined as "location-restricted" knives. You must be at least 18 years old to carry one of these, and there ...

Requirements for Running for Public Office

I was thinking about the anti-gun legislation that some our elected officials are planning to try to push through the legislature—both on a state level and at the federal level. It got me thinking—I wonder how many of these legislators could pass the background check and meet the requirements that a...
