Iowa stares at the slippery slope.

This article is so anti-gun it is infuriating. Don't know if this is representative of Iowa in general. Hope not. A couple of nuggets... "Why does the Iowa Constitution have no Second Amendment equivalent?...that suggests the understanding at that time, just a generation removed from the foundi...

Where was the proper signage?
By "they" I mean the police.
They knew that a 30.06 was not posted and therefore CHL's were legal and let us through.

Of course. I'm getting too old not to.

As I said in my first post I did not see the situation and can not say whether I would have or not.

I am simply surprised at the responses here and how many flat out say they would not help.

Re: Retail Theft question

Yeah, I know it's not a great comparison. ;-) Some are saying that they would not help unless it got physical. The way I read it, it did get physical. And yet the consensus seems to me to be that the best thing to do is to be a good witness. Still seems disingenuous. Sounds like she was in over her ...

Re: Retail Theft question

It's intersesting that 43% of us said the man should buy on a first date. http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=52485&hilit=date" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; 57% said the one who asked for the date should pay first. So split that down the middle (28.5%...

Re: Retail Theft question

She is asking for help. I don't see the issue in helping if she is clearly struggling and you decide you are going to. No weapon involved. I might grab a bottle of windex and shoot the guy with it. But seriously, I too am surprised that she and Target would take it that far. Having not seen the exac...

Re: Gun Makers being bought up by Freedom Group

I want to know which company is manufacturing the guns and what kind of safety they provide in their company. Please share your reviews on gun manufactures. I don't think you will get much response unless you give some background on yourself and your purpose. As a new member, your intent needs to b...

Try driving away from a cop in Texas...

I though this court's decision was interesting. The Appeals Court in Idaho decided a man was free to drive away from an officer who knocked on his window (and was found with meth) when the officer knocked on his window to ask him what he was doing. Because the Officer was not blocking his path with ...

Re: That will be $12,000 please

How does this story end? I'm pretty sure its not going to have a happy ending. It's sad to me because it's my kids and grand-kids that have to finish the story and clean up the mess. The sad part is that nearly half of the population pay no income tax. So the share to those who do will be much grea...

I'm visualising that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where Harrison Ford lets the guy with the sword get it out of his system and then ends it.
