Re: Former anti-gun writer flips sides, joins pro-gun groups

Beautiful.

I've also found a number of columns & articles by former liberals/progressives/whatchamacallits who've woken up to what the left has become, and walked away. Not specifically gun related, but heartening.

Re: M&P 380 Shield EZ

Although friends don't let friends carry .380 (kidding!), I'm glad to know there's a potentially viable option now for those who really need the lighter slide action.

Re: Curious as to what the instructors/“experts” carry?

I like to tell people that choosing a pistol is like choosing a pair of shoes. I wear a size 12 wide; that just wouldn't work for 80-90+ percent of the population. Or a lady might prefer a low heel (or high heel!) that I'll never wear a day in my life. Ditto for clothing size/style/budget. That tend...

Re: What Grinds My Gears

What model bike do you have? When I got back into riding (in 2007), I bought a 2007 Suzuki Bandit. Needed it to be a 'practical' bike for more than just joyriding, so I swallowed hard and installed an aftermarket mount & a 46L Givi topbox. Not a sexy look, but hugely useful.

Re: Estimated gun sales eclipsed historic highs in March

Okay, this was interesting. I saved the image locally as c:\temp\gunsales.jpg, so I could share it on my FB page. When I tried to upload the photo to a new post, the upload didn't happen. I had an empty post. Went back, renames the JPG file to 'bunnies.jpg' and it uploaded successfully. Big Brother ...

Re: Am I overreacting?

First, welcome to the forum! One thing you might consider doing is a) getting recommendations here for a *good* LTC instructor in the DFW area, and b) asking that instructor if you could audit their class to get a *good* class on the Texas laws on use of force, deescalation, etc. I'm be awfully surp...

Re: Best value in Training?

The basic tactical rifle class taught at College of the Mainland (com.edu) in Texas City. It's offered a few times/year, runs M/Tu/Wed 6-10pm, costs all of $207, and includes all ammunition! First evening is classroom coverage of the AR platform, differences in the trigger group & bolt between semi-...

Re: Home Security Cameras.

If you self install poe systems. I imagine it is like installing your own computer lan. Buy a spindle of cat5 or cat6, a box of rj45's, and the stripper/crimping tool. You need smaller holes, and you can get the cables just the length you need. Definitely this! While I've worked in IT my whole care...
