Re: Kaufman County TX, 1-23-20: 18 seized firearms for sale.

I wonder if it was unpaid taxes from a Gun Shop or Pawnshop. I never knew your personal property could be seized for unpaid property taxes. Not only do we lose our homes for unpaid rent to the politicians we now have to give up our guns. As my friend says the government is now king! Smells ...

Re: WD40

WD40 even though it is slick, it will remove oil and grease and over time will wear out a part or two because of no oil. We use it to clean grease and oil off of parts as well as removing tar from your vehicles Thank you RP. That joggled my memory. If I'm not mistaken, the "WD" stands for Water Dis...

Re: Anyone ever see a cat like this?

Yes, such was the Texas black panther, once. My dad was a state park volunteer in Brazos where he and a few others over the years swore they saw what looked like a black panther. Many sightings were reported across the state saying same. TPW said folks were seeing some other animal. Years later, th...

Anyone ever see a cat like this?

A friend of my wife's sent her a photo her neighbor took of a cat. They back up to a large undeveloped track in Pasadena, TX. There are two other photos; one of the cat in a crouching posture but they are very dark (I think these were copied from her neighbor's Facebook.) You could see that it was v...

Bullet meets Bullet! circa 1917 Wharton, Texas

I don't know if this has ever been posted, but I just ran across this incredible, but true incident involving Marshall W.W. Pittman of Wharton, Texas during a 1917 gun battle with a drunken man. I remember an incident in Colorado where an LEO, though wounded, had a similar incident that saved his li...

Re: S&W Model 27 v 28

:thumbs2: Defintely a 27/28 over the Model 19. I had a beautiful blued 3-1/2" bbl i bought in the 60's that got stolen. I found Inickled 3-1/2" Mod. 27 circa 1976 in a presentation case a year or so back. It's just as sweet as my blued pistol was.

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast

It was great to meet all of you who showed up at the breakfast. I played show-and-tell with the Zeis alcohol wipes, my low-cost 400 lumen flashlights, and the number plate thing. What I also wanted to show all of you was the nice 2nd Amendment challenge coins that my pal flightmare gives out, every...

Re: New Colt Python 2020

The chain I worked for in the mid 60's to early 70's procured a Colt franchise. We were a discount chain (Globe Shopping City), however the covenants of a Colt franchise prohibited selling for less then MSRP (fair trade), so we had very few sales. After a couple of years we could discount them. They...

Re: New Colt Python 2020

I heard about this several months ago. I was hoping they would change their minds. My Python collection has likely taken a major financial hit. In my opinion, it hasn't taken a hit - knowing gun people, there will always be those who will value the originals over any new production (eg pre-64 Winch...
