Re: 1911 C&L VS SA

There was a time when I thought it was a good idea to use a spurless NP3 (nickel Teflon) coated hammer in an application that requires me to thumb the hammer down on a loaded chamber. That only lasted a day before I realized it was a dumb idea & switched it for a normal hammer.

Re: 1911 C&L VS SA

My first gun was a 1911 and I remember one time accidentally have an ND when I tried to drop the hammer (slowly) with a round chambered. Never did that with a Glock. But also for a long time I wouldn't carry a round chambered in my Glock because I didn't feel comfortable because it had no "safety"....

Re: Current fingerprinting logjam in DFW

TAM, I thought I was about to get a chance to meet you. I’m getting back into Private security stuff again and was in the process of getting my licenses back after being in corrections for several years. My company was trying to input me into the Identogo stuff so I could schedule my fingerprinting,...

People rarely hit the record button until after a problem starts.

I really should not have commented until additional video was released.

Too many people let their emotions get the better of them & fail to look at the big picture of what is going on at that time.

Yes, it sucks that the man died, especially for a suspected forgery arrest, of all things.

Re: After Action Analysis (George Floyd): May 27, 2020

He very well may have resisted arrest. But once he was cuffed and lying face down, resistance is over. I have watched many officer take downs and have never seen a cop doing anything close to what I saw that cop do. That cop appeared to be angry about something. It was almost as if he was determine...

Re: Henry announces X Model Series

Years ago I dyed to wood to black on my 16” .357 Rossi 92. I also put the available rail on that replaces the rear sight so I could mount a red dot. But mine is the stainless model instead of being all tactical black. I haven’t threaded the muzzle yet since the mag tube is flush with it.

Probably too late now, but Robar's proprietary nickel is very highly regarded, and extremely corrosion resistant. ;-)
Yep, it is too late. Robar closed a few months ago http://coatingtechnologiesllc.com/robar-closure/
