Re: Holster for skinny guy carrying Glock 22

I've been experimenting with different brands of jeans. I've actually found that my more modern looking American Eagle and Gap jeans are more comfortable to conceal with than my traditional Wranglers. I've at least found the "sweet spot" with my American Eagle jeans, at about 4:00. I positioned the holster so that the edge of the barrel is just to the edge of where my wallet normally rests, and it is working pretty good so far.

As for switching wallet pockets... I actually carry two wallets. My left wallet has all of my work and personal IDs, business cards, and badge. My right pocket wallet is my "normal" wallet, with all of my plastic, cash, receipts, and other junk i seem to accumulate. It's a checkbook/western wallet that has a bad habit of getting to be 2" thick at times. I'll try to switch pockets, but even as a kid, I always carried my wallet in my right pocket, and not the "normal" left pocket.

Thanks for the responses so far.

Re: Holster for skinny guy carrying Glock 22

I usually wear western-style belts, so they are thick side. I'm looking into a good gun belt, though. My issue really isn't as much with printing as it is with comfort. When I sit down, it feels like the gun is either pushing against a bone or the barrel is digging into my back pocket, pushing on my wallet. Also, probably due to my pant size, when wearing the gun, it is difficult to get my wallet out of my pocket.

Holster for skinny guy carrying Glock 22

Hello all,

I finally took the plunge at got my CHL. My plan is to carry my Glock 22, or possibly my Beretta P9000 (.40) sub-compact, as my normal guns. I bought Cross-Breed holsters for each of the guns about two years ago. I was able to wear the guns at about 4:00 comfortably, with no printing issues. The problem is that was two years ago, and about 125 lbs. ago. Since I lost a lot of my "padding", the holsters don't feel or conceal like they used to. I'm now down to 175-180 lbs. in a 32" or 34" pant size with medium sized shirts.

Is there anyone out there with a similar body type that carries a similar sized gun? Any recommendations on holsters or positioning? I'm experimenting with positioning the holsters and adjusting the cant, but I haven't found that new "sweet spot" just yet.

Any advice is appreciated.
