My wife needs a job.

She has secretarial/office manager experience in the legal and insurance field (long time ago, though) and has spent the last 30 + years working as an administrative assistant / office manager for a real estate appraisal firm before being laid off recently due to a severe decline in business. Unfort...

Re: Phone scam "cramming" - beware

Enhanced Service Billing Inc (ESBI). is the same company American Evoice used to pass the charges through to my phone bill. There seems to be a number of companies that run this scam (American Evoice, ILD, MVN), but they all have one thing in common...ESBI. I have not yet reported ESBI as I cannot ...

Re: Phone scam "cramming" - beware

This phone scan is not new, but it just happened to me so I figured I'd provide a warning to those who don't know about it. I received my AT&T phone bill (land line) last week. The amount due was unusually high so I looked further. It turns out I was charged $14.95 by a third party company for ...

Re: Texas Motor Speedway

I sat on the backstretch one time and probably would not do it again. It was the year that Earnhardt Jr. won his first cup race. While that was an unforgettable experience, and I'm glad I was there to see it, I was glad the race ended when it did.. very crowded and uncomfortable metal bench seating ...

Re: .380 opinion

I have a P3AT that I traded for from a forum member. It's been 100% reliable for me and I trust it enough to include it in my carry rotation. I also have faith in the .380 round at the close combat range that it will most likely be used, though I hope and pray it will never be needed. There are time...

Re: Waco: 80 vehicle windows shot out

Kids were driving around shooting inflatable Christmas yard ornaments with a BB or pellet gun from the back of a pickup in my neighborhood a few days back. Probably the same ones who also shot at my wife's new car while my son was driving it two weeks before in the same general area. Fortunately the...

Re: Newbie shotgun question - barrel length

I'm looking to get my first shotgun. I've looked at the Mossberg 500, Remington 870, and Benelli Nova. I want to use the gun primarily shooting clays at the range, and if someone wanted to invite me along for hunting I'd like to be able to accept. Home defense is a thought, but I think I really lik...

Re: Newbie shotgun question - barrel length

I agree with your point regarding pistol vs shotgun for home defense. For hunting and skeet, I personally like a SXS or OU in 12 ga or 20. Pumps are kind of difficult for quick follow up shots..... If you shoot skeet, trap, or sporting clays. Follow up shots will come natrually. It is definately go...

I have an XD-9 that has a checkered grid on the front and back of the grip. How would I get the tape to firmly stick? Is compression enough, or will I need to manually press/crease down between each row? (no clever signature line) :yawn First things first... Welcome to the forum! I used to have an ...

Re: Where were you 45 years ago today?

I was in the 5th grade in Homestead, FL. The principal made an announcement over the p.a. system that the president had been shot and had died, and that school was ending early that day and we were to leave the school grounds ASAP. This was a nervous time in south Florida anyway with Castro's Cuba o...

I am also subject to "random" drug tests on a regular basis. Every testing facility that I have personally been to has been legally posted.

Lock it in your vehicle...it's not worth the risk of being made in my opinion.
