Re: Lead time

I reached out to the other students I had in my Fiance's class, and none of them have received theirs yet either.

Re: Lead time

It's been a little over 60 days since my Fiance's application was submitted and they requested additional information. She was born in Germany when her parents were stationed there. So they requested a birth certificate or Passport. She submitted her passport on 4/28. As of today it's still waiting ...

Re: On the subject of rioters.

My mother taught me not to hang out with people that can get you in trouble! So don't hang out with people that can get you SHOT! This is great advice but not always easy to follow. I bet some of us can remember being young when somebody in our little band of merry men decided to do something stupi...

Re: re newal

She called today and was told the background checks are taking longer. She was told they have 60-180 days to finish the background check. And said basically no news is good news, just wait it out.

https://www.axios.com/fauci-senate-testimony-coronavirus-9d0204a8-f8e5-4deb-a8f7-07dcbd41d11c.html Fauci warns up to 100,000 cases a day. So up until today I only knew one person who had tested positive for Covid-19. I may have mentioned that I had known only 2 men whose names are on the wall in Wa...

Re: re newal

My Fiance applied 4-21. Not a renewal, but a first time application. She got an email on 4-26 that they needed either her Birth Certificate or her Passport since she was born in Germany (Military brat). She submitted a copy of her passport on 4-28. We checked today and it still says pending backgrou...

I found this on gunbroker. $515 for an Upper/Lower kit. Another 160 for the barrel and gas block. Seems like a reasonable price. Especially for today's climate.

Re: Hadrians Wall 90 mile fitness run/challenge virtual

I ran the Newport News Shipbuilder's race back in 1990 when I was stationed at Ft EUSTIS for AIT. If I remember correctly it was a half marathon, and was one or two weekends before the Boston Marathon. All the members of my company were strongly encouraged (voluntold) to participate. I didn't place ...

I wish we had more Sheriffs like this here.

Says if those officers were in his district they would have been behind bars before sunset. He supports the peaceful protests. But warns those who would cause harm to his residents that they have his support in defending themselves. https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-florida-sheriff-tells-looters-...

Re: Dallas June 2 - planned protest update

Don’t attempt to defend your property? Thankfully I don't live in an area where there's likely to be many of these protests. But me not defending my property isn't very likely. In my neighborhood more than likely there would be many of us on the roofs heavily armed if looters were to attempt that h...

Re: Encouraging Illegal Aliens To Remain In The US Is A Crime, Supreme Court Rules

It looks to me that the decision really said more about the lawyer's unscrupulous practice of knowingly bilking clients for something she knew they didn't qualify for than the issue of illegal immigration. It's hard to understand how stealing from those who are the most desperate among us is protect...

Interesting report by Tucker Carlson. It's surreal having Youtube and Facebook openly censoring anything that goes against their approved views.

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

I wasn't saying it would be different because of Texas law. It would have been different had the jogger been a LTC holder exercising his rights. More than likely the shotgun wielder would not be alive to stand trial. Respectfully, I agree to disagree. You can disagree, but if someone that's not in ...

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

Well, maybe you’re right and I’m wrong. I can only call 'em like I see 'em, and in this particular case, it seems like both the McMichaels and Aubrey would have been better served if the McMichaels had simply tried to be good witnesses. But they clearly went beyond that line when they decided to ch...
