Re: CA: No place but California

I've only eaten at an In and Out, a couple of times, they were good burgers, I didn't know about any "secret" menu, But I will make a point to support them. :tiphat: Just make sure you ask for the fries "well done." Otherwise, you may as well be eating Steak n Shake fries: potato strips soaked in o...

Re: Cody Wilson charged in sexual assault of minor

The website isn't being charged because they did their due diligence, but the man who hooked up with a woman from the site for 18+ is?

Really sounds like a set up to me.

Re: Pellet Grills

I looked at pellet grills and have decided the 22" Weber Smokey Mountain is the best option for me. It's near a set and forget it smoker while still using charcoal and real wood chunks. Besides, I already have an electric smoker and I feel the need for something a little more manly. Maybe some day ...

Re: Pellet Grills

A 40lb bag lets me do at least 3 long smokes, if not 4 or 5. I haven't paid a lot of attention to it. I've played around a bit with smoking time vs cook time which has thrown the feed rate off for each one. But I've pretty much figured out how I want to do it now, so I can get a better gauge of how ...

Re: Pellet Grills

I am sorry if it has been asked already but this thread is lengthy. It is like reading War and Peace. :biggrinjester: Are the pellets expensive when accounting for the cooking times? I don't think so. It would cost me more to drive to my hunting lease and cut mesquite. I can find 40lb bags at Walma...

Re: Pellet Grills

I bought the Pit Boss Austin XL. It's a very nice grill. It does have a slide over the firepot. Which keeps the flames from kissing the meat. But it doesn't diffuse the heat very well at all. I think it's going to take some experimentation to diffuse it just right. I don't want to create a cooler s...

Re: Pellet Grills

What grill are you using? You should have a steel heat deflector/diffuser over the firepot already. You can double up on the sheet metal ones and it helps spread it out more evenly. As for wrapping a brisket- there are a number of other reasons to do it. It does break a stall faster but also keeps ...

Re: Pellet Grills

I believe wrapping the brisket is called, “The Texas Crutch.” I do prefer the red butcher paper over foil. It seems to stay super moist. I think they are best about 200-220 internal temp. When using my Traeger I always add the A-MAZE-N-TUBE or tray because I like a little more smoke. Yeah, I've see...

Re: SCOTUS to Address Civil Forfeiture Laws

It’s always telling when the task force cars are looking southbound and not so much north bound. I've lived near Interstate 10 for most of the past 17 years. Law enforcement won't overlook a shipment of drugs they find coming in, if they do catch it. But they're much more driven to find the cash go...

Re: SCOTUS to Address Civil Forfeiture Laws

I agree. I also believe it's used too often as a way to strong arm those accused. They take away their financial ability to defend themselves.

As the saying goes, teach your children to shoot because a Restraining Order is just a piece of paper.

Such a sad situation the children had to witness.

Considering two new shotgun additions.

This weekend I looked at two shotguns I'm considering.

Keltec KSG and Panzer Arms AR12 gen 3.

Both look like they'd be a blast at the range. Especially the KSG with the short/Mini shells.

Do any of you have any experience with either?

Re: Why Do We Obey An Obscure Judge's Ruling?

Now people are upset because some obscure judge issues an injunction against Trump's travel ban, immigration policies, etc. And why were the injunctions issued? The only justification for the injunctions issued have been time and again simply that their stated purpose (protection of US interests, e...
